35 years old.

First games were Battletech: The Crescent Hawk's Inception and Mechwarrior (with blocky mech designs)

32, never played tabletop BT, played some Aerotech though and thus became familiar with the franchise. I always liked the customization part of the game the most, designing your own fighters, picking engine size, weapon loadouts. The "design" stage was even more fun for me than the actual game.

27 here.

Played the SNES isometric game then played MechCommander 1 & 2 and MW4 and it's expansions. Never played tabletop. But for those who haven't and want to there's always Megamek.

39... bought Battletech Crescent Hawks Inception at a Babbages PC Store back in 88 because it remineded me of Robotech and have owned every game in the series since. I was also a big sci fi reader so when the books came out I was on those too except for the Dark Age series i could never get into that. I have about 200+ sci fi books but battletech series remains on the top shelf and thankfully the wife is cool with me playing "The Robot" game lol

35 started with the original mechwarrior in glorious EGA graphics. I've played mechwarrior essentially since I was in the 4th grade. I played tabletop too, even played in a tournament during 5th grade that I got totally killed in using a wolverine.

Youngsters here, all kids and children :D I still have the original first edition Battletech box (unopened may I add) on one of my shelves that is how long I have been playing this (long before the event of the clans where the only TRO was 3025), oh and I am 54 years old and yes I have all the unseen Mechs as minis (so many of them that I have converted at least 3 Marauders will see if I can upload the pics one of these days :) )

42 here.

I remember going into the local hobby shop every opportunity I had just to flop through the battletech source books for hours on end.
