18. Started at age 7 with MechAssault. Got the MW4 pack the following year. Do some TT but hard to find people.

Dont know if you Facebook, but there are a TON of groups on there who are actively Table Topping. Make sure you search for Battletech, not Mechwarrior.

31 here too! I started when I was in middle school on the board game when I was about 11 or 12 I think.

I remember the first mech I used was the BattleMaster, which I thought had 3 PPCs (not realizing it was 3 crits for 1 PPC just yet).

Let's just say I crush the youngest age posted until now (18). I actually started with MWO, when open beta had just begun. Somehow I found this one or two weeks after OB started.

44.

I played BT in highschool and college. While in college a friend of mine found version a guy had made that was similar to MegaMek but broke things down to seconds instead of 10 second turns. We would actually sit around with 5 of us passing a controller around watching a movie on a tv(VHS) while playing that on his computer.

We would also block out time in the community hall for a weekly game of TT.

I've played every version of Mechwarrior, plus the Mechcommander, and the Battletech games as well as played some of the MUD/MUSH/MUX over the years set in the BT universe. I played the Mechwarrior RPG as well as done Mechwarrior in the GURPS RPG system.

While I rarely did tournaments online with previous MW games I would play online from time to time. Instead we had huge LAN parties where a gaming group would rent a hall, get $10 a night to pay for it, and set up 5-6 servers running multiple dedicated games. Everyone would bring their own rig in, hook into the network, and be able to play what they wanted. Various Mechwarriors were played over the years with some excellent games going on. We saw fast heavy mechs loaded down with SPL and MGs race up and shred mechs, and super fast lights with artillery beacons and NARCs destroy objectives by calling down the thunder from afar.

I've played in the battlepods. I've played Double Blind games on multiple tables with a GM. I've played campaigns where one planetary assault took over a year of real life time to complete with gaming sessions every other weekend. We would play one stage of the invasion each session. I've played on sand-tables and tables with crafted terrain. I've played every single player version at least 8 times through. I still play BT via MegaMek with friends and occasionally pull out the figures and maps when we might be in the same physical location.

average gamer Age is 33, on all fronts.
that also include MWO, we exist out of 65% Male (likely more stats are easy to manipulate) and we spend around 300$ a year on video games.

their you have it.

Started with MW2 and MW3 when I was 6 or 4 but I was too young to really "get" it. I found my dad's copy of TT in a closet when I was 13 or so and that's where things really took off.

23 now, but I think I know more about Battletech/Mechwarrior than my old man.

My father plays too he's 60, he's a big cent pilot, but adores the shadow hawk.

I'm 41, my 2 boys are 5 and 7. I envision playing with them when I'm 60 too and I hope they brag about it.

I remember seeing the Battledroids box in the comic stores but bought the first edition battletech and citytech boxes when they came out a year later. Still have about 150 metal minis. Played Crescent Hawk's Revenge and just about every MW title since (except Living Legends believe it or not).

18 here.

First foray into the Battletech franchise was with Mechassault when I was 7, and of course its sequel. I didn't have internet for the longest time, so I played those games ad nauseam. When I got a bit older, I got MW4 and MW4: Mercs on the computer, and later on got into the Wolfman-X mods for MC2 and of course the MekTek mods for MW4: Mercs.

Ever since that first time watching my cousin play Mechassault, I've been hooked on the franchise. It piques every facet of my inner sci-fi'ocity. I haven't had any exposure into the TT game, but I have been trying to find someone to show me the ropes of Megamek so I can engage in some casual play with that.

Been a big supporter of MW:O, and try to turn on every one of my friends to Battletech. Fell in love with this franchise, and I still haven't fell out!

Youngsters here, all kids and children :D I still have the original first edition Battletech box (unopened may I add) on one of my shelves that is how long I have been playing this (long before the event of the clans where the only TRO was 3025), oh and I am 54 years old and yes I have all the unseen Mechs as minis (so many of them that I have converted at least 3 Marauders will see if I can upload the pics one of these days :) )

So far, you and I are tied for the Oldest Mechwarrior award in MWO. :P Started with Battletech in 1985 then the Mechwarrior tabletop RPG from 1986 to 2006.

39 here.

Started with the TT when I was visiting my grandparents for the summer at 14. The next summer or two there, the Clan invasion books came out. I would mow my grandparents lawns just to get enough money to bicycle literally across Sacramento to the only hobby store in town that carried the Battletech source books. Memories...

I also of course played most of the computer games and console games.

I played TT In junior high (1989-1990) and played a MW1 and MW2 a little bit, but not heavily. MWO is the first and only multi-player online shooter that I've ever played. Been enjoying myself.

32 here.

Started TT with some middle school friends back when I was 12 or 13. Use to read the books between assignments in class. It was that or my D&D rules encylopidia.

Also played most of the PC and consule games.
