I see LRMS in every battle. But I die to them "once in a blue moon"....hmmm. Most of the time it seems to be some stalker chain firing lrms at a target 1200m away. LRMS are like "hippsters", they look cool but are just fashion. I use them on most of my mechs as a secondary weapon, it makes me laugh when I can scare a larger mech and watch them run from my OP LRM5.

I am at best an average pilot and still learning the game but every single Mech I have (11) has AMS and I loved the ammo boost recently. I do sometimes get caught out and get hammered by LRMs but usally I can see where I went wrong. I have several ECm Light mechs and spend a lot of time and effort trying to cover the team - esp the Assaults- the BAP changes were a bit of a blow to this but its better now at least.......

I usually have some LRMs on my mechs - if only to harress the enemy as they don't know its just 5 LRMs in a salvo :) I have 2 LRMish boats (Cat with LRM10 and LRM1 5 and Artemis) and a Kitano with LRM 5.s but they both have energy weapons and I tend to use them to close with the enemy and get stuck in when my LRMS run low.

Must admit it can be a bit annoying having the game start with "Please Lock" and then the LRm only player at the back complaning that he is not being protected or has run out of ammo..... I spend more time pressing the R button than any other I think :)

At least we don't have LRM and SRM vehicle carriers from the tabletop - with 10+ SRM6's etc :)

I'm sorry, but are you under the impression that I should be bothered if you respect me?

No. But one day when you grow up, you will realize that insulting people is not the best way to convince someone that your opinion is correct.

L2P

Hmmm. Lets see here...

Player A can take out a mech with no ECM, no AMS, no LRMS, and has absolutely no trouble dealing with enemy LRMS.
Player B has trouble dealing with enemy LRMs under any circumstance.

Which one needs to "L2P"?

What you ezmode boys fail to comprehend is that just because someone has suggested a change to a weapon system does not mean that someone dies to that weapon system. I learned long ago how to deal with you ezmode players. That doesn't change the fact that your lack of talent is discouraging PGI from making changes for the betterment of the game.

I dunno why people call it ezmode...

Sniping is consistently the easiest.

lrming swaps wildly between easymode and impossible, and can be anything anywhere in between.

Brawling is hard.

I mean i can literally stand in one spot all game in a sniper and rack up 1k damaged and 4+kills while ignoring every enemy that isn't a sniper becuase they can't damage me.

Can anyone honestly tell me lrming is easier then this?

Theres good and bad lrmboats.. sitting at the back firing only gets people victory's by luck... if theres no narcer and you get beaten by lrms you should be ashamed honestly.... there a laughably ineffective weapon without narcs.

Lrms are fine... they let new players take a weapon that at the outset is easy to use and can let them feel like there doing soemthing, lets them learn the game a bit before they move onto other methods of fighting that are far more effective.

Hard case against LRMs being the easiest, complete with video evidence.
Great post.

And here it is again. The close minded douchebag. :)
Ever heard of support? No, I believe you did not. After all, every freaking war was just bunch of guy charging eachother. It's not like the Arrows, Catapult and other war device were made for a reason.

You just want the LRMS removed from the game because you don't like them.
Yet I'm pretty sur you welcome then when they are attacking that Dire Wolf you have no chance to take out completly alone.

Nope, don't want them removed from the game at all, just want certain aspects of them changed to require some SKILL in order to use them.........so folks like you can't hide behind a hill (like you do a keyboard) and spam them while everyone else locks targets for you and helps you collect c-bills and furthers your dream of being a 1337 player in this game.

Something I do not understand, or so much also weeping of crabs had multiplied? If you do not know how to ride missiles and hide from them what you whining?

Let Fix bug out with a hit in the legs.

Return trajectory of a swarm on the smooth envelope.
And return twisting missiles spear during operation Artemis.

Increase strength and range of AMS.

Equip AMS and hide.

Learn to walk in the team, shoot from a distance of 180, You are standing at the tail group, and you scold that do not do anything.

You still dont understand the system of the lrms:

User skillless - target skillless = lrms good
user skillless - target skilled = lrms bad
user skilled - target skillless = lrms good
user skilled - target skilled = lrms bad

Target can use crutches to compensate missing skill if he is using radarderp or ecm.

LRMs are good or bad,
you want to remove the good part,
but i dont see anything to compensate the bad part of them.

Better BAP means less ECM effectivness, so more LRMs.

Everyone hated the "Magic Jesus Box", but I am sure some want it back now.

BAP needs to be dialed back a bit to create a better middle ground. We don't need to back to where it was, but we need to turn it back a bit to restore a bit more of the ECM effectivness.

BAP is the new Magic Jesus Box.

Personally I do hate LRMs with a passion BUT I do also believe you get a better result with the carrot reather than the stick. SO rewards for counter measures particully for protecting a team mate seems a good way to go.
