Hm- just checked the MUL. The only 55t 'Mechs with 3 variants in the era MWO is set and that are not unseen are the Hoplite and Kintaro. Both are fugly as hell but I am sure the art department can give them a facelift.

Yeah, their art is top notch, but I keep seeing that atlas on the background and feel the need to make a meme.

I'm a betting man, and I bet you're wrong. Which, isn't really a bet as the Uziel doesn't hit the scene till around 3065ish. No Uziel.

But, let's see either

The Art really doesn't do the Cyclops any favours.

Considering Flying Debris is going to put his own spin on it like many of the previous 'mechs, doesn't matter much. He's taken some ugly 'mechs and made them look stellar.

This is true. I'm always keen to see what FDs done to some of the undeniably ugly BT designs.

We want Mech #20!

When do we want it?

NAO!

The Banshee looks about 10 meters tall in that picture... so tiny... at least by MWO terms...

That is because the mech you see there is a Cyclops, not a Banshee

your right and I knew that i don't know why I said Banshee...

Still way too short for a 90 ton mech

I figured it was just a typo. You know your battletech too well.

...Why is the Cyclops' LRM launcher angled downward?

If that is your only issue with much of that early BT art then you must not have seen much of it :)

Crappy art.

Spore was so depressing. I thought it was going to be a serious thoughtful evolution game. Instead is was a lazy blob of $#!7. The design thing was kind of cool though. Just such a missed opportunity.

Indeed. It could be one of the greatest video games ever, but it turned up to several watered down mini-games bundled together.

The Hatamoto Kaeru? With torpedos and such? Perhaps the chi instead.

I actually wouldn't be surprised if they did make the Cyclops mech #20 considering their propensity to cram ECM down our throats.

I would so love to have a Hatamoto in the game. Would also make it easy for them to add a Charger later as they're based on the same chassis and could use the same animation and some of the same modeling. The "Hat" has a ton of good variants too. Lots of variety on that mech.

You could've been a bit fairer than to compare TRO:3025 (nostalgic, but horrible and ugly) art with XTRO one...

I'll take the Hata-chi with the Twin SRM 6s vs the Cyclops. It be hard to get a nice looking cyclops without it looking like a Heavy Gear as thats where i think it would land based on its build

Ironically, none of the canon Cyclops variants mounts an ECM suite. ^_^

In fact, the Cyclops is generally known for equipment like Command Consoles (mounted by the CP-10-Z-DC and CP-11-A-DC variants) and Collapsible Command Modules (mounted by the CP-10-HQ variant) - both of which canonically provide ECCM/Counter-ECM capabilities. :)

Lol, I stand corrected and happy because that's one less reason to have another mini-atlas.
