It has a balance load of weapon hard-point types, much more mobile and agile then the Awesome (aka "The Wall") which is more of a line support, to the Victor's CQ brawling support. We also don't have really an assault mech that is under 90t with a decent ballistic hard-point where alot of punch in the larger machines come from. The mobility, the hard-points, and the overall design would actually see it replace the Awesome as the fast mobile assault lance mech, simply because of the jump jets AND will most likely have much more user friendly hit-boxes.

What next announcement? It's been *checks OP* almost 3 months.
I don't know why I keep checking this thread. Just leaves me disappointed.

We will see Battlemech #20 next month. My reasoning for this? The Highlander releases next month and they have still yet to update the battlemech sub section of the game page. Since they update the battlemech list with waves of 1 light, medium, heavy and assault at a time they'll have to release the 20th battlemech.
Now when will they release it next month? My guess is on 10th or 24th since the Highlander will likely be released on 16th. Now I figure we'll start seeing a ramp up of ISN posts and the like leading up to the clan reveal as well.

That really is interesting. I'm surprised the Zeus is running away with it in the first one. I thought it would be the Banshee, and I'm pretty sure people only voted for the King Crab because it's the assault version of the Urbanmech fascination.
"Assault version of the Urbanmech facination." So thats the condition I have...but I do really want the King Crab.

Lol, yeah I'm not knocking the KC by any means. Just a lot of people could care less about both the Urbanmech and the KC, and only claim to like it because other people claim that they like it.
I personally like the King Crab, but I like the Zeus more.

A faster but slightly less armored Atlas with good hardpoints and lots of interesting variants? How can you say it would be useless?
Might I add that the Cyclops is also a 'mech geared for electronics, a la the 3L and D-DC. Which means that there is a substantial chance of ECM and almost certainly additional module slots (the latter of which will start to mean a lot more with the addition of consumables.)
