I have a small question: Whats up with all those heavys using XL engines? I always see heavys with lots of ballistics but once you swing on their shoulder or "spit on them" they look like a **** hitting the fan

because once you use a standard, you can't fit in "all those ballistics".

Leave the Zombie slow builds to Assault mechs. Heavies are supposed to be able to move decently fast, and hit hard, oftentimes harder than Assaults. There are two ways to survive a fight in a heavy: Run a standard and go slow with a lighter payload (meaning you have to spend a lot more time on target, and in return getting hit) or run an XL, and have enough firepower to kill the other guy first, and enough speed to evade the things you don't outgun.

Out of the 2, guess which works better most of the time?

Thanks for the honest answer, i did consider the weapon size but didnt know you have to go that extreme. Im just happy my zombie doesnt mark itself as a priority in other player minds that way.

Hey PGI, ñisten up!!!!

for the new year

Make the Cappies Happies, (and give the Fedrats some nice slow Medium Mech targets to kill from their superior Centies and Jagers!)
Posted Image

Show some love to the Archon and the economy paying for most of Hanse Davion's toys
Posted Image
Posted Image

Give us Medium Jocks some more love (yes, we deserve more toys to pick from! We don't play ezmode! XD )
Posted Image
and give us FedCom's our Enforcer's to blast the Vindie's to {Scrap} with!!!
Posted Image

And Lights need some more love, so give them the best chassis remaining:
Posted Image
or 2, just because
Posted Image
heck, make it 3
Posted Image
4?
Posted Image

give us our Jumping Hero Hunchie!
Posted Image

Give us a Cyclops that has tons of module slots that are actually "command" useful
Posted Image

then man up and give us our King Crab!
Posted Image

and with all your Wolf's Dragoons as the pinnacle talk at the Launch, might as well put on your big boy pants and drop one of these too, while you are at it.
Posted Image

And get us CW to actually play them all in. (with LOTS of maps)

Oh, and hire me to work under Alex, so I can stop spamming your bloody forums? You didn't like my resume? Well, if you are looking for an artist's resume, try looking at his work. Means a heck of a lot more than his schooling.

no truly right answer. Different styles for different people. I run Jagermechs more successfully than most in 12Comp, because of my sneaky medium mech backstabbing playstyle..... because I know it's the ultimate high risk/high reward move. But being I am in a glass cannon, I get caught flat footed, I do indeed, pop, lol. I just tend to pop more of them, first.

well, all of MY Mediums are backstabbers. Maybe it's more a me thing than a Medium thing. (I always did play thieves and assassins in D&D too, lol)

Probably, im more used to multiroles(explains the 4 medium lasers i got to take up space), but with the current community its funny how you can squeeze in something that on paper/forums looks like an oxymoron

hey Ecliptor.

Yeah, I do, though I have yet to have a chance to set up my Deviant Art account for it, with rates, and stuff, and more importantly, my paypal info. Hoping to get that up and sorted first half of the January (also working on learning to use a tablet, since I am an old school pen and paper guy.).

And I'll look into my PM box..... wasn't full last time I checked... but then it's been a while.... soooooooo

Well armed but very slow for a light mech...

(Firestarter is faster, equally armed and jumps)

Just not the same until we Davions can put an AC round or 5 through a Vindie face. :)

I'm a Lyran and ant in on that one! Gimme my Enforcer so I can do it proper! (Though my SHD-5M "Super Enforcer" will suffice)

FFL-3SLE
Oh, you mean the one created by the Star League AFTER the Exodus?

Yeah the one not available in the Inner Sphere? Cuz the one that would be available would be the 30 tonner with a top speed of 86 kph stock, and 3 energy hardpoints, 1 Missile, Oh and no ECM. Or the Original Dragoon version, that did have the 7 lasers, but again no ECM, and a speed of 86 kph? Or the 4C, which again is down to 3 lasers, and no ECM?

Or are we pulling wish lists out of thin air again here? If so then I want something a heck of a lot more interesting than the Firefly.
