I am looking forward to the Flea actually.

I was never a fan of the Mauler, so if it doesn't get included due to variant restriction I won't cry.

Lets get the Charger in here

Nice, but since we do not have light engines PGI would have to use the 300xl which would give it a respectable 60.75/66.83kph. Running twin LBXs on my JM6-DD I know how devestating that it can be then you add in the twin SRM 6s and you get a very nasty brawler. I would buy that as soon as they released it and would have a smile on my face the whole time that I used it.

You can build a Thug with the Awesome 8T and Battlemaster 1S.

Not quite the same since you lose out on the PPC in the arms. I hate putting powerful weapons in the torso just to lose out on the snap aiming and further reach.

the thug starts with a speed of 64 kph, meaning a higher engine cap than the 8T. And the BLR and Awesome both have their hardpoints in the wrong areas. Ghetto Thugs ain't real Thugs.

Actually, the AWS-8T fits just perfectly. (the only problem is the engine restriction)

The Thug looks cool, but I always found it very underarmed.

I imagine the Thug would have a profile, size and hitboxes generally akin to the Cataphract. Being a SLDF design, it should be more compact than the Awesome, for instance. Add in VTR speed, and being terrestrial, one would hope, better agility than the VTR. I think those factors would compensate for some loss of raw firepower. Of course, if they don't fix SRM hit detection (which I can confirm is generally speaking, better...... laid out 1200 and 800 damage matches in my ON1-VA yesterday, and it's prime weapons are 4 ASRM4 backed by a single ac10. But I also had a match where I nailed multiple light mechs with no registered hits. So go figure) it is going to have issues.... but I still love me my Thugs.

Actually bought the AWS-8T yesterday just for that reason. http://mwo.smurfy-ne...14d4cd66265bb52 Even though the Awesome looks fun it just does not seem the same hence why I want them to add the Thug. Besides 2 PPCs especially ERPPCs can really lay some damage down then when they get close you have 600 (300) damage worth of ASRM missiles, which when they do register really hurts.

I made my Thunderbolt into a jumpless Summoner Prime and it kicks plenty ass and that is without the 15 damage CERPPCs. Just have to know how to use your weapon together.

Clanmechs? Bah! Bah, I say! Bah, and quite possibly humbug on top of it all! A proper mech is a barely functioning machine barely held together with hope, spit and bailingwire! It has seen centuries of combat and every component has been repaired or replaced at least once! And the cockpit should stink of the sweat, blod, tears, piss and fear left behind by dozens upon dozens of mechwarriors which piloted it before you! And here the clans come with... NEW mechs? NEW?!? Darn kids today with their fancy functioning mechfactories and production lines! Why, I oughta!

Sorry. My inner "contrary old man" just needed to be let out of his cage for a while. ;)
