If we had Infernos it would probably be the ultimate tactics troll. Zip in, chain fire SRMs at as many targets as you have launchers and bail before they can hit back.

It's about time for PGI to add Infernos...

They could add the Inferno SRM-2s as separated weapons (and not as alternative ammo). Well, even MW2:GBL had those...

BTW, am I breaking some forum rules by posting that?

(because I think PGI allowed the leak to test how the members will react to the ECM hero)

Infernos work with all sizes of standard SRMs and MMLs. Be nice to be able to just pack in a half ton lot, and once it's gone switch to regular ammo.

Somewhat newer. 2001 rules. May have changed with the current ruleset, but I have neither Total Warfare or TechManual so I cannot be sure.

Honestly, that is the very best hero ECM to use, since everyone makes fun of the Locust for being so weak. I said from the start putting ECM on it was really the only way to make it viable, so I am also very glad they are doing that.

Russ also confirmed that it IS going to be an ECM hero, so I think it is a valid leak.

It's going to be the first mech I buy for MC at full price, and assuming it's released on the 18th with the next patch, I'll be among the first to buy it at patch time as I have the day off.

I am oddly happy that everything coming out now is IS-based. Gives me a few months of recovery time to make up for the two Clan waves...

I want to love the hero locust and shadow hawk, but they aren't singing to me. Part of that could be the fact I just bought the last two Shadow Hawks when they were discounted, including the 2D, and just bought the ECM Commando to compliment the recently discounted Death Knell.
