I really want to see the Phoenix Hawk, but there are so many heavies that PGI should do 2 more standalone packs for them.
Archer has a great hero candidate and it is probably the most attractive of the 3 remaining heavy mechs (Rifleman and Crusader are not so popular and have less known heroes). I hope Crusader gets the following pack.
Talking about the
CRD-3R: 4M, 2E, 2B (+2B?)
CRD-2R: 6M, 2E, 2B
CRD-3K: 4M, 2E (+4E?)
CRD-3L: 4M, 2E, 2B + jumpjets
CRD-4D: 4M, 2E (+2E?), 2B
CRD-4K: 4M (+2M?), 2E (+2E?)
CRD-5M: 4M, 3E, 1B + jumpjets + extra AMS [asymmetrical Crusader: right arm with 1M, 2E and 1B]
CRD-5S: 4M (+1M?), 3E (+2E?) [asymmetrical Crusader: right arm with 1M, 2E]

Phoenix hawk looks cool, but im not so great in mediums. IIC version artwork is very similar, but is an 80 ton assault with 5JJs and no engine cap. DO WANT.

Also, IICs of unseen is tantamount to heresy until all the unseens are here.

1E per arm, 2E in the CT, 4M per side torso, allowing it to swap it's normal LRM-20's (horrid in MWO) with 8x5 if it wants. ML and LRM quirks, naturally- strongest for missiles.
Make the -2K 2E per arm, 3M per side torso. LL and LRM quirks, weaker LRM ones than the 2R. It'll be able to do more with four energy hardpoints given they're all in the arms.
-4M drops to 3M per side torso with the -2Rs energy mounts, but gets structure quirks and ML quirks like the -2R with LRM quirks similar to the -2K. It won't be as missilegod as the -2R, but it'll be sturdier than the -2's.
You could then do the -2W (Wolf Dragoon's) chassis as the hero version.

The basic ARC-2R has a minimum of six (6) hardpoints, and inflating it up to eight represents a 25% increase in the 'Mech's weapon capacity and giving it a greater weapon capacity than the vast majority of IS heavy 'Mechs (most of which have only 6-7 hardpoints per variant).
Additionally, most ARC variants are build in the same mold - energy CT, missile torsos, and either energy-only arms or energy/missile arms, so there is rather little variety in the base loadouts; the no-energy/all-missile ARC-5W is the notable exception to the rule.
IMO, a more realistic outlook is an 8-hardpoint ARC-2R (x2 energy hardpoints in each arm, x2 energy hardpoints in the CT, and a single missile hardpoint in each side-torso; a total of 6E/2M), an 8-hardpoint ARC-5W (a single missile hardpoint in each arm & x2 missile hardpoints in each torso section, for a total of 8M), and a ARC-5S with no hardpoint inflation at all (giving it a total of 9 hardpoints (4E/5M) - x1 energy + x1 missile in each arm, x2 energy in the CT, x1 missile in the right-torso, and x2 missile in the left-torso)
The Archer Hero 'Mech could then be based on the ARC-2W & represent Jamie Wolf's personal 'Mech.
The hardpoint layout could be something like 2E/6M (x1 energy hardpoint in each arm, x3 missile hardpoints in each side-torso).
Or, let the Archer Hero 'Mech represent Morgan Kell's machine (hardpoints TBD) & let it pack both MASC and ECM in order to simulate Kell's "Phantom 'Mech" ability...!?

Note by comparison that the Mad Dog can easily get 5E/6M for a total of 11 hardpoints- and all of the energy mounts on the arms.

With the proper omnipod combinations, you can have Novas with 16, Stormcrows with 14, Timberwolves and Gargoyles with 12, Executioners with 13 and Direwolves with 20 hardpoints. That's much more than anything IS can bring.

Here is an analysis of the candidates:
Black Lanner
55 tons, Ferro Fibrous, Endo Steel, 118.8 km/h, MASC, ECM, ~11.5 free tons
Mongrel/Grendel
45 tons, Ferro Fibrous, Endo Steel, 118.8 km/h, 7 jump jets, ~13 free tons
Huntsman/Nobori-Nin
50 tons, Ferro Fibrous, Endo Steel, 5 jumpjets, 81 km/h, 23.5 free tons
Viper/Dragonfly
40 tons, Ferro Fibrous, Endo Steel, 8 jumpjets, 129.6 km/h, ~8.5 free tons
Pouncer
40 tons, Ferro Fibrous, Endo Steel, 5 jumpjets, 97.2 km/h, ~14.5 free tons
Ignored chassis:
- Coyotl (40 tons, extinct? only 2 canonical variants)
- Battle Cobra (40 tons, standard engine)
- Stooping Hawk (55 tons, standard engine)
- Phantom (40 tons, very fast but with less than 5.5 free tons)
So, which one will make it next? Which one you prefer?
(I'm between the Black Lanner and the Viper)
