Personally, I'd like to see the Sentinel.

Example STN-3L
LA: x3 ballistic (x1 UAC/5)
RT: x1 energy (x1 Small Laser), x2 missile (x1 SSRM-2)
Standard Internal Structure, Standard 240 Engine, Standard Armor (64% of maximum), Standard Heat Sinks
Example STN-3K
LA: x1 ballistic (x1 AC/5)
RT: x3 energy (x1 Small Laser), x2 missile (x1 SRM-2)
Standard Internal Structure, Standard 240 Engine, Standard Armor (70% of maximum), Standard Heat Sinks
Example STN-3M
LA: x2 ballistic (x1 UAC/5)
RT: x1 energy (x1 Medium Laser), x3 missile (x1 SRM-2)
Standard Internal Structure, Standard 240 Engine, Standard Armor (64% of maximum), Standard Heat Sinks
The Sentinel maintains a respectable speed for a Medium 'Mech (97.2 kph base & 106.9 kph w/ Speed Tweak with the stock STD 240 Engine; an Engine rating limit of 315 (240 * 1.3 = 312, rounds up to 315) brings it to 127.6 kph base & 140.3 kph w/ Speed Tweak), is visually interesting (pill/pod-body + massive cannon arm + distinctive antennae + massive fist in the other arm), and each of the above-listed variants carries some of each weapon type (which allows for a wider variety of potential loadouts and variation than a two-weapon-type 'Mech).

The -1S would be a nice little ambusher with it's 3 ML + 2x SRM-6 loadout, especially after being able to refit with DHS/Endo. And the classic is a mini version of the LRM Hunchback.

I could live with that.
Though my rank of preference would still be the Vulcan>Assassin>Hermes II>Clint>Whitworth>Sentinel.

Serious, Whitworth might be the 40 tonner I find less interesting for MWO.
Not a bad mech in TT (it really worth's it's 40 tons), but all two variants would be very much the same.

Marauder MAD-3R:
stock 300 std. engine, 10 DHS, ES
2x medium pulse lasers (would prefer 4x medium lasers but there is no freaking space)
3x AC/5s (7 tons of ammo)
11 tons of FF armor (full in torsos, a little scraped from the arms and legs)
If it works like my 3xAC/5, 3x MPLs Banshee, oh boy, this will be my default mech.

On a different note, I was looking at light mechs. We have several 35 tonners but there isn't anything interesting to add to MWO, IMO.
There's just the Spector. 245 xl, JJ, energy boat, ecm. It'd basically be an ecm equipped Firestarter.
http://www.sarna.net/wiki/Spector
Let's examine the other tonnages.
#1 The Hermes. it comes with a 270 standard & energy weapons. It has a MASC variant that'd be too fast (almost 200 kph) it also has has a ECM variant in timeline.
http://www.sarna.net/wiki/Hermes
#2 The Hussar. 30t, high mounted energy, 270 std, ecm variant, ballistic variant. I really like this mech.
http://www.sarna.net/wiki/Hussar
#3 The Javelin. 30t, 180 std, missile boat, energy variants, jj. I think this'd be a great addition.
http://www.sarna.net/wiki/Javelin
#4 The Valkyrie. 30t, mixed energy & missile, jj, 150 std. It could be okay but the name & model make this off limits. http://www.sarna.net/wiki/Valkyrie
#5 The Dart. 25t, 225 std, extremely fast, energy boat. Would be good but it's kinda boring IMO. http://www.sarna.net...art_(BattleMech)
#6 the Jackrabbit. 150 std, mix ballistic & missile. Possibly the worst mech ever if put in MWO. I don't know why I even mention it, it'd be terrible. http://www.sarna.net/wiki/Jackrabbit
#7 The Mongoose. 25t, 200 std, energy boat, one mix energy & missile. This'd be a good mech.
http://www.sarna.net/wiki/Mongoose
#8 The Raptor. First IS Omni, varied weapons, 175 xl.
http://www.sarna.net/wiki/Raptor
I'm not talking about 20 tonners because the Locust does almost everything a 20 tonner could. The Wasp would be a good JJ addition though.

I run a similar setup in my Ilya Muromets. 3MLasers, 3 A/C5s, STD 290 or 295 (its been a while since I looked so that detail is fuzzy). Great powerful setup.

- Spector = hmmm nothing really new... I would prefer if they just released the Firestarter S1.
- Hermes = important Marik mech, but boring variants (in terms of weapons). The good side is: ECM and/or MASC variants.
- Hussar = the mech has many variants with weapons only in the center torso. If you think Spider 5V is bad, imagine a Spider 5V without jumpjets.
- Javelin = cool 30 tonner that would bring something new to the light weight.
- Valkyrie = it's an Unseen, so it's a must. Unfortunately, it is the least interesting of the Macross Unseen mechs. (not counting the former-Unseen Ost-mechs)
- Dart = really boring.
- Jackrabbit = yeah, it's bad.
- Mongoose = interesting looks, packs a punch. But I think the Wolfhound got it covered.
- Raptor = now that would be a great addition. A sure bet for the first IS omnimech pack.

I didn't focus on the Wasp & Stinger would more than cover anything the Locust doesn't.
I was counting on the Hussar getting decent hard point inflation for it to shine. Same deal with the Valkyrie. It could have 3E 2M, 2E 3M, etc. Basically, I was assuming they'd all have at least 5 hard points.
