I would like to see the Komodo

http://www.sarna.net/wiki/Komodo

It also gives PGI a way to introduce new info tech warfare with 3C slave and master units. It also gives the Inner Sphere a mech similar to the nova but at a 45 ton. Would you want this mech in game?

It get points for the ECM and jumpjets, but lose with the all energy variants.

C3 can be a cool piece of equipment, but if PGI didn't even fix the Command Console until now...

well they should increase the weapon range by a margin and include some "module" behaviour like - target info gathering or advanced zoom as part of a working c3 network.
flight time might be a problem when trying to hit something at >2000m.

command console is at best a second pilot - maybe it should buff the mobility of the mech slightly as well (sensor range, target gathering data; etc

another thing - speed is precision C3 is precision - working C3 increase projectile speed and reduce burn duration - although I think its to abstract to be understand by the usual candy crush niveau MWO player

Never said that I hated them, just not as much of a fan of that design as I am of the Macross Valkyrie and Excalibur.

I've been saying this for a while now. If PGI is starting to introduce the 3055 TRO and later IS mechs then I want a Komodo. Also, I want a Daikyu!

3055 - finally some fast heavys - this would be great - although the obsolete 3 variant rule is an issue and I simple can accept PGI grafting their own Mechs that clearly violate the character of those Mechs (Panther, Enforcer)

Only the Penetrator (one of the few names were German Name is the better) has enough variants

But heck mechs like falconer, Daikyu or Thunder would bring something new

The Anvil, Bandersnatch, Wardog(ugly) would be good choices as well.

only the anvil is fast enough - Posted Image and a pure energy boat.... bandersnatch is everything you ever need - 100% hardpoint inflation - but its not faster as the current IS Heavys, even when fast heavy is always XL

Fast heavies are nice, but some hard hitting cruisers with great hardpoints are nice, too. #teambandersnatch

Heads up guys, PGI is supposed to do an announcement (not a new mech) today, 4PM Pacific.

Now what could it be...?

regardless of what it is, I am too jaded to believe it will be worth the hype. It'll probably just be "hey we are putting in inverse kinematics" which ya know, have been in the plans for October, anyhow.

Either that or it'll be the pre-sale for Transverse 2.0

The obvious answer that no one has been guessing (because it's not awesome) but has already been discussed by Russ on Twitter: Live server PTS Event for Energy Draw patched into the servers for the weekend.

makes sense given Russ's predilection for making huge announcements of things that piss people off, lol!

He really needs to talk to people that are not NGNG or "top comp players" from time to time....

The problem is honest feedback when it conflicts with his vision. There isn't a very good track record of taking honest criticism well.

Edit: perhaps it is unfair to level it entirely on him. He runs a company, but there are many departments. He just happens to be the highest person on the totem pole.

I understand all of that, how ever Russ is choosing to communicate with members of this community, even a very selected section of that, that are acting a bit like "Yesmen" for him. A smarter bet would be for him to leave the communication to the community manager, look at the feedback, and have it disseminate to the correct departments. That way, he is aware of what is going on, but can stay in his safe space.

The really should make one coloured up like a pug.... and put a decal on it that says "PUGLife"

Still I'd be tempted to toss $20 at a Thug, it's more or less an up armoured Warhammer.
