It wouldbe my Hunchback founder.

But I am currently trying several new mechs, Jaeggermech. Different variants of Stalker, an Awesome and a Quickdraw.

I have some nice surprise. :)

HATH THOU BEEN BLESSED BY THE DARK GODS IN ORDER TO RUN SUCH A CRAPPY BUILD TO YIELD PROFIT?
(How does anyone even possibly pilot an XL GAUSS HUNCHBACK to any success?)

I run a gauss in a Shadowhawk with an XL and 3 SRM4s, I do well. The gauss is good (especially with gridiron quirks).

AWS-8Q for me. Stock weapons, 20 DHS, STD 300. Sure, it's very vulnerable to lights/ mediums getting up in my face, but the challenge of keeping them back is part of the fun. Oh, and lightning, lightning everywhere!

I understand the potential for damage, but I don't understand how you manage its survivability. The first thing I did when I got the GI was replace XL with a STD 200 and add in endo.

Cicada B/A
Thunderbolt 5SS,9S,9SE
My Banshees only got better.
TDK, FTW!!
Locust E and V...good times there.

Planning on getting a HBK J...and i HATE using LRM but he looks like ha can brawl-support with them.

FUN MECHS:
Weapon X: WUBVERINE
Cicada C
SPIDER FLYING V - It hops, man, it hops!!!!!

Well, I think it is designed more for quick moving fire support duty. If it stays back and lobs long range shots, it is better off.

If the fight gets close, then it is more vulnerable, but hopefully by then, the enemy is worse off than you :)

Easy one.

Dragon 1N
Huggin

The rate of DPS on these two builds is just north of insane with them Master'ed and cooldown module'd... Feels unfair at times.

Hit 1400 damage and 6 kills 2 times with my 1N in my first 5 drops with it post quirk.

Huggin is also a killing machine, but you need to be more patient on the attack, and swoop in as not the primary target and things die sooo fast...Enemy Light Mechs now seem afraid to solo a my Huggin if they find me alone... they usually run away. If they don't and its one on one, 7 out of ten times they die, or try to run away and then die.

Hah, that's nearly the same as mine AWS-8Q, except LL and PPCs are swapped. I know it's probably better for LL to be placed in the arm for CQC but I prefer this setup because of tightly grouped lazorz and better heatsink placement (left arm is now fully expendable) :) I tried 3 and 4 PPC but it made the enemies retreat behind cover quickly, now they think they are being hit by only a single PPC which allows to squeeze in more shots sometimes.

I rather like my auto shotty CN9-D after the quirks, I just wish the LB-X cannons were a bit less bad in general even when quirked like crazy.

I've also been enjoying my UAC10 Jager and my ALRM30 Trebuchet lately when they work, but the Centurion is probably my favorite.

The rate-of-fire quirks have, in general, added another layer to the game's fights. When you know you can squeeze in 2 salvos before the opponent can squeeze off a 2nd salvo, you try to get that shot in and duck behind cover again to deny him a shot.

You can more readily pull that off (or deny it if the other guy shoots faster than you do) if you're faster than the other guy, so it places a new value on speed in this game.

and also exposes you a lot more. I'm guilty of it too....trying to squeeze in that extra shot before twisting or ducking for cover...... that's when I tend to eat a lot of return fire.... by getting greedy.

Don't get me wrong, used intelligently, the RoF quirks can be huge. But considering how bad a staring problem most people have in MWO to begin with? Most of them end up eating more fire too, because of it, lol.

Yeah. The rof quirks have made me bad at a lot of IS Mechs now... The temptation for just one more shot! Will take some adjustment time.

I wish I could go back to my first mech, the Atlas 7K. but it got really terrible quirks and it just dies way too fast :( pre quirks I could pull off over 1k damage in it. I never understood why people hated so much on the K model but after quirks I saw why :( I miss it now.
