Edit: it seems I needed to relog to get the last two variants.

The Awesome..the ppc mech...is back to third fiddle as far as ppcs are concerned.
Why exactly? Just curious. I didn't see the field awash with them

Faction Chat
- This is HUGE ... one of the biggest problems with Community Warfare in the Oceanic-Pacific time zone is seeing solo players joining attacks or defenses without knowing whether or not anyone else will join them. Sure, we can advise them to "join a group", etc., but if they knew that much, they probably wouldn't have joined an empty queue to begin with. Now, we can communicate and try to get a group together (or groups together) before deciding where to attack, rather than just dog-piling on whatever planet is busiest.
- This little nugget is also a big deal, and very much appreciated.
We are planning to implement these new features (invite that player to your Group or Unit, send a friend invite, send a private message, block a player) to the in-match Chat system at a future date.
In-game VoIP
- This has the potential to be the biggest game-changer since 8v8 became 12v12 ... and frankly--as an old fart who doesn't want his out-of-game habits, life choices, and what someone else did or did not do with my mother questioned in-game--it scares the crap out of me. The potential for good gameplay and evil trolling has gone up exponentially ... I just hope the community stays civil, and there's a way for us to hold the jackasses accountable.
- Also, players that are not currently piloting a 'mech (dead spectators especially) shouldn't be able to talk.
Panther
- There are a couple of intriguing builds here that could change the way people think about lights (at least in CW ... I don't think it will affect public queue play at all).
Enforcer
- Jumpy? Ballistics? Should be interesting.
Quirk tweaks
- I'm going to need to take a hard look at the before-and-after on this before passing judgement. I'm happy that you're constantly making balance adjustments... some of the "Tier 5" 'mechs never belonged in that category (TDR, WVR), but I hope the pendulum stops swinging so violently soon.
Bug Fixes
- Fixed an issue where the targeting box would stay on-screen
- - Thank goodness ... this was super annoying when using advanced zoom (other times, it was just a little annoying).
- Main Skill tree medallion will no longer default to the skill level of the first variant
- - So what does it default to now?
Overall, very good stuff ... I just hope VOIP is a force for good.

The place where half cocked people can ***** about what they would have done and cry about what has been done regardless if it's a step in the right direction.
I'm sure I'll get used to having to use a button to mute the morons I don't want to hear.
I also drive a manual car so maybe I'm just used to not having everything spoon fed to me.
This.

And kind of this. My 4 LPL 3M was one of my favorite, go-to mechs. Now it might have to be shelved.

Hi Gritash, i had the same prob. Reason is simple: Nobody talking. After 5 or 6 drops finally someone said something. After i posted my complaints here, sure. There is no speaker in players own row. Everything set to default in options, i use a separate small mic and headphone, not even an full usb- headset. Hope this helps, don't worry, they'll start talking sooner or later :-)

So what happened here PGI? This is extremely frustrating since I'm anxious to try out my new Panthers and Enforcers from the Resistance Pack. Am I going to have to do a fresh install once the repair tool is done, wasting even more time?

The IS got two new mechs and some very questionable quirks. Meanwhile you still have the FS9-A and TDR-9S ruining CW while the clans got the shaft yet again.
My response to this patch was meh.

However, net result of this quirk pass is so many mediocre and underwhelming builds. I can only imagine what they are going to do to clan mechs if they practice a similar method of quirking. Should be... interesting.
Some mechs actually got a little buff and that is great cause they needed it, but some which where not even in question got nerfs!?
I am with many others when I express my disappointment in the banshee-3m changes. It was well balanced and hardly the topic of many forum threads calling for nerfs which obviously draw the attention of pgi so well. Banshee-3s as well, easily considered the worst variant and be assured it will continue to maintain that reputation. Banshee-3e was fairly well balanced like the 3m and thankfully it was left alone. Which again makes you question all the more why the 3m LPLs got hit for less range and more heat. Should have left well enough alone and made some slight adjustment in the 3s imo.
On a side note I am not a big fan of PPC overall, regardless of how you quirk them. They just are not really something I play much in general. They sure seems to be a fetish with them on a number of mechs in this quirk pass though. If you need to velocity quirk them on so many chassis it should signal they are in a poor place (for those who use them) and why not have just have done a small global change in speed with smaller quirks on a lesser number of mechs to boost above that as needed.
Anyways... hope you all have a vision for how this all 'balances' because it would appear to have left many of us a bit bewildered.

Pulse had been in such a bad spot that they underwent global changes. Even then they still had not quite worth it for many players until mechs got additional strong quirks for them. Now after those quirks a small number of mechs had viable builds using various flavors of pulse lasers. Then this pass comes in and yeaaaaaa... the pulse builds are mostly no more.
Maybe they will surprise us with some global changes in IS pulse, although I am not holding my breath.

It should be a fair offer from you if everyone could sell an mech where quirks are changed for the same buy price.

They can't let anything alone. Sighhh I'll wait for the fix to this patch!
