Sure, they can extend the founders program by 3 weeks, it's not like that window isn't already long gone as well. Project Phoenix? Sure, tack an extra 3 weeks on, it's still long done with the extension anyway. I mean, unless we have some of the most weirdly specific time travel, it isn't an issue.

Re-opening them? Different story. This never ended, and unlike other packs and presales, was poorly thought out with insufficient time to begin with.

This really confuses me.

I mean, are PGI the only company who extends limited time special offers and sales? Hell no -- it seems like practically every limited-time sale gets extended by bit. As far as I can tell, it's fairly normal business practice.

This is NOT the same as the changes to eligibility for the reward mechs (and to be clear, I don't personally have a problem with those changes either). This is just an extension to a sale (or presale, I guess), and in all honesty a sensible extension given how short the initial sale window was.

I bought during the initial 8 days. That doesn't make me special, or part of an exclusive club. It makes me someone who liked the look of the pack and could find $120 in my budget at that time. If the time extension gives people who weren't able to buy before the deadline (for whatever reason: didn't see it, just paid other bills and waiting for payday, whatever) a chance to buy it as well, that's great, as far as I'm concerned.

You really don't get that they made a statement and by statement a promise,
They then sent out emails reinforcing their statement of limited time to get EXCLUSIVE CONTENT by adopting earlier then what others are willing to do. Adopt with out art, and minimal information.

PGI took money with a promise to reward exclusive content by purchasing before a period of time.

So to be FAIR to the community because. "IT IS WHAT THEY ASKED FOR".
We are opening up exclusive founder content for ANOTHER EXCLUSIVE time period because it is what the community wants.

It has to do with integrity. With making a statement and sticking to it.
Break it and you can break any promise or statement. PGI has broken trust.
It has everything to do with being lied to through forums and emails.

One day, one minute or one year means little.
A dead line is a dead line.

They lied, so there is nothing stopping PGI from reopening any and all exclusives that they promised would be exclusive


PGI, I WANT ACCESS TO EXCLUSIVE CONTENT THAT I DIDN'T KNOW ABOUT AND IT WAS AN INCONVENIENT TIME FOR ME THAT I DIDN'T KNOW ABOUT THIS GAME. So I should have access to it. It is also really cold in my region (What the hell does a region have to do with a dead line anyway)

Since the WAVE III Early Adopters LAUNCH has been extended you have to extend the adder event that is celebrating this very launch.

Because I know the community wants it.
I have seen many posts about how people just missed this level or that.

But alas, I don't feel that PGI should give me access to that content as it was EARNED by the early adopters and founders. They EARNED THE RIGHT TO IT BY ADOPTING within the time frame set. So YES THEY ARE SPECIAL and that is what sets them apart.

It's way too many packs too quickly lately. People are suffering from the economic principle of diminishing marginal utility - each $100++ mech pack in rapid succession is giving us less and less satisfaction, especially because the mechs do little to change the fundamentally stale gameplay and this pack had the weakest extras yet with the clan faction packs all repeating. To top that all off, they didn't even have half the art finished this time. Selling people on shadows, let alone finished models, does not instill confidence given the variable quality of the final products lately (I'm looking at you, Enforcer). People are wising up and not throwing money at what amounts to a pig in a poke, especially because the fact remains we're only renting the special geometry mechs and everything we pay for disappears when the servers go down.

It was that they made a promise\agreement in writing. Don't focus on the content(MECHS) of the promise\contract we entered into,
Focus on the Promise\Contract they wrote and if they did or did they not keep it?

By Extending it they did not stick to their promise\contract those of us that ADOPTED entered into.

The contract they made with me: give us X dollars and we deliver product Y into your account on date Z.

They have not broken that.

The early bird bonus is for 4 extra Mechs which is a pretty big bonus in value, so I crumbled and bought a fortnight earlier than I can realistically afford (im one of those still recovering from Christmas, some things have been put off for the pack). If I had known there would have been an extension, I would have waited.

That said...

Im glad PGI extended the bonus for others. Good Job PGI *thumbs up*
Do I want anything extra because of it? No.
Would I accept a small something extra as compensation? Yes.
Do I want that something to be a Firemoth (even sans MASC)? Yes

the wall fo text had me loss interest, all i can gather is your crying that the community said hey this isn't long enough, please extend it and they did.

All you want is to feel special special princess and now others have a chance to be equal your feeling of entitlement has been reduced, waaaa, waaa waaaa,

make me feel special, i need to be special as i have more money than some and think i should be treated better cause of it.

so the person you quoted was correct, it's mech there having whing about and that they wanted to be entitled to have access it early before it gets released for c-bills.

I personally just want to get them for $$$ as io have enough of a pull on my c-bill budget atm.


7 days wasn't an indictator of loyal early adopters, it was just who happens to have cash laying around.

but hey keep crying some more and whinge enough and you'll get pgi as said before to get the crybaby warhorn content that works when someone steals your kill

Nothing to deal with. I never had any interest in buying this, which is why i can look at it objectively.

Now if i was someone who specifically said i wasn't getting it because it's not a good time, but they extended so now i might get it, i'd have a biased reason to defend it.

Both are correct too. It's poorly planned, and their fix was poor. Even if they added value to those who were in before the first deadline it would help their extremely lacking credibility/customer faith. Not like it costs themm anything or they haven't had early teirs before.
