At least I can watch some TV, surf the web and even read a book. All while "playing". Strange concept.

50 CW matches in one weekend :o That's 25 hours with no queuing, loading or mech changing included!

Defense queue is taking ~25-30 minutes per match, average. Game crashes due to Cryengine stability don't count for points, so I just wasted 25 minutes waiting, plus in-game time prior to crash...

This event makes playing for people like me not fun. I know this event is to draw people to play MWO, but man 30 minutes to connect to my first match is bad. I am busy so can only afford an hour here and there to play, so 1 match for an hour sucks. I will be glad to get the participation banner for 5 matches. You guys will have to re-think how you do the next event like this.

Whoohoo...So in a total of 8 hours I've been able to play 5 matches...yay...... Did use the LFG function and made full 12 man team. Good thing I can do other things while waiting...like laundry, reading, playing other games.

It is almost like the customers have the cheaper IS mechs than the more expensive Clan mechs. Maybe there is some commentary about c-bill rewards in there. Just seems surprising to me that PGI couldnt see that most of the player base was playing IS . Also strange that they made a game mode that put 100s of customers waiting in line to play.

Honestly this is a fail of an event
  • For the obvious wait times for Inner Sphere mechs
  • The Quirkaggedon of the Inner Sphere mechs which obviously lead to the swing of the community to mostly IS factions causing problem 1
  • A fail of EFFORT on the side of the community for not using the FANTASTIC LFG system, I know you can just grab a team on a teamspeak but with the number of clan puggles I have seen its pathetic to know that the most I have seen in the LFG list is one 4man that one time, and like 4 already deployed that other time, all day it has been empty.
  • Ok while I find that most of the CW maps are decently designed and mostly fair for both teams with decent cover and sniping positions and lots of attack lanes that teams can move along with plenty of cover (I especially like Emerald Taiga) it boggles the mind as to why the generators in Grim Portico are way back behind the defenders spawns which is fine but they are in the most open parts of the map where the other maps have cover for both teams.

This is the main reason i'm not participating in this.. PGI has gone way overboard with the IS quirks, especially when you couple them with the Clan weapon nerfs.. case in point put any quirked best load out weight class IS mech against an equally weight class CLAN mech and see just how out classed the Clan mechs are (cough firestarter cough).

lol ... yep you can tell how over quirked the IS is by how well the IS is doing vs Clan mechs. Even outnumbered 27 or 40 to 1 they still seem to be winning the event. Good Job PGI.

30 mins in queue , and the clan team just camped the drop zone ., little fun in this crap
I think this would qualify as a exploit, not a battle

While in waiting for match screen I just want to yell "DON'T DROP! WHY ARE YOU JERKS JOINING AND DROPPING DO YOU NOT UNDERSTAND QUEUE MECHANICS!?!?!?" But ultimately PGI has to take responsibility for this badly borked grouping system and figure out a way to get people into these event matches more efficiently. It's really, really frustrating.

CW IS LFG looks empty right now. Great.

Not ok:

If you get a 12 man made up you wait time for IS isn't stupid long. I played maybe 9 hours today and ran 11 matches. Most of those matches lasted at least 20 minutes on average. That 9 hour time includes waiting for everyone to ready up, as well as finding replacements for players that had to drop out to do real life stuff. Now if you are trying to drop solo or as a smaller group the wait times will be longer. I did drop in a smaller group on Friday before the server crash, Though I don't believe the wait time was longer 30 minutes a the most..I do believe that if you are dropping solo this isn't going to be to much fun for you though.

Not sure what is going to happen when the Clans have all of their points from the event and IS players are left with an even longer queue.

well, I tried CW for the 3rd time...tried really hard to have fun and enjoy it. And it can be fun as long as the team you drop against has the same general composition as your team (1 or 2 small groups and the rest solos), then games are fun and close and you come away with a few 100,000 cbills. Unfortunately most teams aren't of equalish composition...if you happen to be in one of the teams made up of 1 or 2 small groups and the rest mostly solo players you will drop most of the time against large, 10+ man premade groups, get totally stomped, be lucky to earn over 100,000 cbills and in very rare cases come out with a match score over 80. Being part of the large premade groups and totally stomping the enemy is equally unfun because there is no sense of urgency/test of skill...but at least you come away with 400,000+ cbills, tons of loyalty pts and a match score of well over 80. PGI is this how CW is intended to work? 10+ premade groups stomping pug/solo players match after match? Those of us who watched the town hall we heard Russ talk about not wanting to split the ques...but honestly if large groups only dropped against large groups CW (and the public que too) would be much more enjoyable for everyone (and maybe CW participation when there isn't a major event might increase too...well once rewards are bumped up a little, as is it is still far more profitable to play regular games than it is CW). I know many of you will complain about wait times if your 12 man group has to wait for another 12 man (or 11 man wait for 11 man, or 10 man wait for 10 man, ext), but there is a simple solution for that...just re-que up as a smaller group. I know many of you who play regularly as part of large groups will be against this idea and just simply tell me to go find a 12 man of my own to join...but I am looking for a solution to make the game more enjoyable for more people and help our player population to grow, I don't want to be a part of the large group problem nor do I care to see MWO's population shrink any more than it has (for various reasons) and become a game that is practically unplayable unless you find a good large group to join and play with regularly.
