Let me know, I might be able to get one for 2 bucks?

The Cheap versions tend to be the Xbox version (Got mine new in the packaging for $9), the cheapest I could find a PS2 version was Amazon for about $36. Have a feeling since they are rarer, and can easily be converted to USB, that is why they are more expensive.

Let you know if I can get it to work. If I can it should rock.. ! I would love to find a company to make these for the PC, (Maybe even as a MWO brnaded item.. :( )

It's been a very, very long time since I've played a game using a joystick. ATM, I've got a Razer Naga, so at least I shouldn't have problems with too few buttons.

I am using a Saitek Aviator with Saitek Rudder Pedals.

I don't think there are enough people to justify the price in creating and marketing a custom Mechwarrior themed joystick.

It'd be cool, but it's a pipedream.

Heh leave it to Razor they might of course the price-tag would be astronomical ...which would be par for course with that company..

I think the Gadget Show need to do an MWO special, and build a super-awesome MWO gaming rig, like they did for BF3

I'm on a Logitech Extreme 3D Pro. Bought it JUST as they came out (so it's a few years old now), in MW4 i used a Logitech 3D Extreme (was more solid than this one), and a Thrustmaster "Top Gun Afterburner 2", now called "T.Flight Hotas X". I preferred the Afterburner 2, but the logitech sticks are more suited to my heavy handed hammering of the stick.

I took this:

and added this

Posted Image
Plugged into my Win7 64 bit computer and that was ALL I HAD TO DO !!!! Windows had a NATIVE Driver for it and treated it like a XBox controller (as far as what it called the buttons)

So I know it at least tests.. MWLL has a problem now so I can't test on it on that.

But the DirectX Diagnostic test works fine..

SO..... have to ask the Devs...

Will a dual joystick driver work in MW:O.. ? I have 10 buttons (Start, Back, White, Black, A, B, X, Y, L Trigger, R Trigger), 2 joysticks with (X and Y axis and a Z axis and Z rotation) both with thier own "button", and a D pad Will that be easily customizable..?

Here is my setup

Left Thumb - Push = Crouch
X = Body Left and Right
Y = Forward or Reverse

Right Thumb - Push = Target Enemy in Recticle
Z = Torso and Aiming

Left Trigger = Fire Primary or Lock Weapons..?

Right Trigger = Fire Selected Group

A and X (Left Middle and RIng FInger)

A = Alpha Strike
X = Jump Jet

B and Y (Right Middle and Ring FInger)

B = Up Weapon Selection
Y = Down Weapon Selection

Dpad
Up = ?? Command (Radar ? Night VIsion ?)
Down = ?? Command (Radar ? Night VIsion ?)
Left = Strafe Left
R = Strafe Right

Still leaves the Black, White, Start and Back buttons for different commands.

Also would still have Keyboard for other commands and such as needed..

What you all think..?

Not going to be a strafe key, so that's two more keys you have available.

Ah yes the wounderus time when one spends countless hours remaping there mech controls as to add a bit of control to what is out of control chaos.

As for me I'm using a saitek eclipse and a $5 logitech mouse I've had for 4 years. :D

I just got myself(from my wife technically) a Saitek X52 for Christmas. Tried it with MW4 yesterday and it worked great! Its awesome to never have to touch the keyboard. Even got my TS3 PTT set on one of the throttle buttons :D I'll be adding the pedals later on. Theres a ton of these sticks on ebay and the prices are good. I got mine for $62 shipped.

Ebay seems the way to go, i'm looking at three x52 sets now!

I'm having a problem with the Gamester only once and a while having the sticks work..

Win7 recognizes it as a Dual USB joystick and not a game controller.. and no amount of overwriting the drivers to Logitech, etc.. seems to work.

I have looked all over online and keep coming to a PS3/PS2 driver from MotionInJoy. But it doesn't see the controller to modify it, and the drivers that come with it won't install.

Anyone had luck with or even try to get a PS2/PS3 controller to work on Win7 or a similar problem with the analog sticks wont respond..? It seems the driver see the Dpad as the sticks.. so its kind of treating the controller like an old PS1 controller. Any help would be good..

(YES I have posted this to MotionInJoys forums too... )

Saitek x52 pro. Im hoping mwo handles joysticks well. Mouse and Keyboard combo usually gets more love and it saddens me.

I'll more then likely be picking up the Thrustmaster T-Flight HOTAS. It's pretty much the same stick as I used in Mw 3 and 4 which was the Thrustmaster Afterburner 2 HOTAS. It's not quite the quality of the x52 Pro or any other more expensive HOTAS setup BUT (and this is a BIG but for me) the Thrustmaster has a rocker switch on the back of the throttle that can be used for torso twist instead of twisting the stick. I could not stand using the stick for torso twist in MW 3/4, it felt clunky and inaccurate.

Does anyone use the Razer Hydra with MWLL or another MW game? Looking at the principle of work it should be faster and more precise, than a regular joystick - with center-return, or gamepad - with its not-so-precise ministicks.
