I Also Agree with this 100% a 2 slot drop deck would be a game changer to be able to have a long range and a short ranch to choose from just before touching down!

Excellent suggestion, and you're not the first. This has been an ask for a while.

The balancing factor is specialist builds. There needs to be a downside to building an all-short-range assault monster or an all-long-range assault monster, and map selection has been it. But I'd think that if you made the drop deck two mechs with a combined tonnage of 125 or 130, that would keep you from having two hyper-specialized assault mechs ready to go. At that tonnage, you could do that with two medium or even heavy mechs, but those are less of a problem than the 90+ ton bruisers.

Why is the Clan-PAC8 a two-round shot? Can we just not have single-shot weapons??? Is that not allowed for Clans for some reason? Is there someone on-high at PGI that has declared that they are not allowed any decent single-round cannons?

Please just make the Clan-PAC8 a single round instead of two...

I like the steady pace that PGI is going. What I would want to see is PGI getting out of the slump of 3050 and the Civil War era and move us to the Jihad Era because after 12 years now, it's time to move past the old era and it doesn't make sense to stay in the current era. In my opinion it's also inexcusable to keep this slow pace for so long. So here are some wanted features that I would love to see in MWO is these:

Jihad Era Mechs:
While I'm grateful we have finally have IS OmniMechs, we should update the roster to show how far we are at. While I know that this game has thrown the eras write out the window, we should still have mechs that go along with the new era of the weapons we have. Give us updated mechs like the: Jupiter, Targe, Tundra Wolf, etc. The only chassis we have go up to the Civil War Era, so we need some new updated era mechs.

New Weapons and Equipment:
I'm also incredibly thankful that we got new weapons, but I hope we can get more like the Multi-Missile Launchers, Variable Speed Pulse Lasers, PPC Capacitors and Arrow IV's. As for equipment, it would be nice to have some Partial Wings, Reflective Armor and Hardened Armor on some mechs.

Faction Play:

New Factions

IS: The Word of Blake, The Republic of the Sphere, The Periphery Factions - Magistracy of Canopus (As an ally to the Capellan Confederation), Taurian Concordat (As an ally to the Capellan Confederation), Marian Hegemony


Clan: Clan Hell's Horses, Clan Snow Raven (as an ally to Clan Ghost Bear)
  • A Faction Play where factions actually matter instead of being glorified game and forum icons. There's nothing wrong with loving your faction, but give us lore-based rivalries. Faction variants and mechs that give loyalist players a Loyalty Boost both in Quick Play and Faction Play.
  • Planets updated with new information for Faction Play. Use Sarna, it exist for a reason. MW5 also added planet data from Sarna for their game, so do that for MWO.
  • Update the map from the Clan Invasion of (3050) to the late stages of the Jihad Era (3080)

No minimium range on ATM launchers even if they do less damage at the 0-60m bracket

anything clan not a laser that does over 4 damage cannot fire one shot apparently.

I highly doubt variable speed pulse lasers can be done they arleady said they can't do ammo swapping.

I assume that you meant Multi Missile Launchers since VSP Lasers don't carry ammo? If so then, MML's can be done in MWO.

After all, take a look at how PGI did Clan ATMs. In lore, you could swap between: Regular, Inferno and Explosive Rounds, but because of the limitations in MWO, PGI made them to where the closer you are the more damage they can do and the further you are, the less damage you do. As with the MML, I know that you can only swap between short range and long range missiles. So really in MWO, MMLs can be done, they will just function like the MWO ATMs.

what books have you been reading???? Atm never had inferno ammo

Improved atm had inferno ammo but that cannot be used by ATM only iATM

MMLS as far as i know are inferior, and i'm refering to changing anything with the varible speed pulse laser as there is no way to change the speed on the fly.....which would be similar to ammo swapping.

I meant Extended Range, I got my ammunition types mixed up, lol. Still, if they cannot do a weapon change, PGI can either do two things to the VSP Lasers: 1. Turn them into Laser versions of Rotary ACs or 2. Turn them into Laser machine guns.

The way how I could see them would be more akin to Mechwarrior 2, Mechwarrior 4, or MechAssault's Pulse lasers, where instead of acting like a long beam, they resemble laser bullets visually.

Nope, a blaster bolt. Let me be more specific. In the Mechwarrior 4, Pulse lasers do not do a flicker effect, but instead they resemble blaster bolts giving them the appearance of a "laser machine gun". In MWO, the Pulse Lasers do a flicker effect, especially X-pulses. So when I say we should get VSP Lasers as "laser machine guns", I was referring to how they should be visual to blaster bolts akin to Mechwarrior 4's Pulse Lasers, not flickering beams like how MWO's pulse lasers are.

Think about a Stormtrooper's E-11 Blaster rifle for example, This is what I'm talking about with how the VSP Lasers should be like:

Also in lore, the VSP Laser is described as altering it's pulse instead of firing a single bolt of energy like a PPC. Hence the blaster bolt.
So in MWO, VSP Lasers would look something like this on the left side, but act like a machine gun or a rotary autocannon or an ultra autocannon:
