I Love to use it in light mechs, but I don't need it in assaults. A button bind on the keyboard would be the best option to serve this need.

Having water drizzling down the windshield of a battlemech would be damn cool. Just an idea.

How about the ability to save a control profile as well, so I can switch up my controls based on the mech I am piloting? I use a joystick with multiple buttons and on JJ equipped mechs I use the trigger for JJ, but on non-JJ mechs I like to change it to something else or it is useless/wasted. MW3 had this ability also.
There are many, many other improvements that can be made to this game for those of us that are serious about this game (I've only been playing since Christmas 2015, have spent $160 so far) and are willing to spend money on it, but PLEASE start with those two items. This is the ONLY game I'm interested in playing online, and I AM WILLING to continue to spend money on playing it - but having to manually build mech loadouts SO often and change control settings is VERY ANNOYING. I'll spend just as much time building mechs to try them out, then changing them up and trying again, over and over, when a save feature would let me spend more time PLAYING THE GAME. This is basic stuff here. All the fancy graphics and stuff is great, but that is of secondary importance to PLAYABILITY. Keeping my fingers crossed......

A pilot could invite a friend to ride with him. The rumble seat passenger would just observe the whole action just like a dead pilot watching teammates still in the fight. He would be able to talk and chat to the pilot only. He would not be able to switch to another pilot.

- small team matches as an option in RANKED matches. Like duels, 2vs2, 4vs4, even 8vs8
- Always chooseable skirmish mode. or with the new anti-lobby system you could list all the game modes at once for every match.
- choose map/gamemode first and mech later (maybe with a weight class limitation)
- duels, duels, duels, duels.... and some duels too as ranked matches even tournaments.
- clan stuff, like trials ,blood name tournaments and such.
- free for all mode for lonewolves. (no teams allowed and only one mech can be victor)
- better tier system I mean more weight for individual performance and less weight for team win/loose.
- also more weight on support things like ams / ecm cover / protect, spot, cap, tag, etc. And less reliance solely on damage.
- optional possibility of only the same class team matches. Heavy is the most favourite weight class according to statistics, so let them have it 12 heavy vs 12 heavy

- optional smaller team matches ranked matches not just private ones. Hell even in CW. I really would like to participate at most 2 lance vs 2 lance matches.
12 silly teammate is frustrating on the long run I end up swarmed by the remaining 6-12 opponents usually.
- CW duels possibility! (at least between clans fighting each other.)

Isn't gauss guns had a "smoke" trail in the former MW games? And this charge up mechanism is a mess. No army would build a charging weapon cuz it's delay before shoot is fatal to the user. My guess would make it's cooldown bigger instead.
More configurability about clan mechs engine? I mean so far I didn't found a single clan mech which I were allowed to change the engine at all.
And less strict FF/endo steel/simple/double HSink configuration possibilities please.
Even option to masc / JJ all the mechs? OFC with the cost of the tonnage and slots. and mass/force ratio... so an atlas should not outrun cheetahs but could possibly climbe those tiny rocks with the help of this

Innersphere LRM rockets minimal range seems too big. maybe cut it to like 50m?
Also clan LRM-s diagram is not right in the mechlab cuz as I read it won't suffer the minimum range penalty at least not 0/100% dmg style.

So in CW matches A better understandable UI layout and predictability of the match type would be welcome.
For example after 400 hours of gameplay I still don1t know what the heck that circular blue/red thing represents, and how can I know which game mode is the next one?
Also what on earth are those numbers in the right side list surely not the team's count. which would make sense so everyone could see how much teammates in the list BEFORE joins into a waiting line.
Oh and one more posible tweak. Everywhere:
after pressing join to quickmatch chat/team chat/unit chat should be accessible while waiting for a match.
So "searching..." should not cower all the page and don't prevent us to use the "enter button" to send the last typed in message. so as a team joining if the wait is too long we should be able to communicate ingame.
Even while the team leader choosing the mode we should be able to "tell him" what we would like.

For people playing the game through Steam ,Steam already has some similar functionality built in with their "invite to watch" feature for people you have friended in Steam. I haven't used it much so don't know all the details on how easy it is to use through.

REAL CHAT ROOMS: Would like to see revival of old school visual chat rooms where you can go between private/unit rooms, make friends, make challenges, set up teams, drop decks and battles etc. See profiles, make friend notes, voice and text comms, share screen shots. Maybe even have the private/unit room act as the launcher itself.
- It’s cool to have the unit chat, even faction chat, but it’s kinda hidden, awkward to access, and isn’t well integrated into the rest of the game. ~ Improved community living quarters, like barracks, would be fun.

1. See my match statistics after I leave early when I die. I don't want to wait while they chase around a locust in skirmish to see the stats.
2. An api for stats so people could make sites like http://www.vbaddict.net/wot.php is for world of tanks.
3. On the after match stats please breakout damage by weapon. I would like to see how my builds are working. Since I change them around, having global weapon stats doesn't help with that.
