Also, bring unsymmetric game modes to QP, such as base defense where only one team has a base or objective to defend.

I remeber reading an old tech manual about " A PODS" an anti infantry/elemental weapon system i think, can we upscale it, make it damage unseen close in targets (I mean 20m max) ? Would work like dropping a bunch of grenades around mechs feet, damage to own legs and enemy mech. Might make players who just drive up to your face think twice too....
I've no problem with lights backstabbing, speeding past at warp 9 and running 'between ppc blasts but having one under the guns i can't target is a bit daft. ( bet i get all the lights swarming me for this post...)

I see it as a good counter to these builds. The other option would be to make ECM availible to all the chassis and I still think Stealth mechs are an abomination and should be eradicated from the code!!
getting hit by a ppc should disrupt your sensors like it does in mwll. sort of like the effect you get when an ecm mech is nearby.
then add blueshield as a counter.

But somehow set it where if the arms are unlocked and you toggle freelook on the cursor / {circle ridicule}
and your vision movement limit is the same (right now you over look the ridicule and have to backtrack your looking to line up with the targeting....(this is only a problem in mechs with left and right arm movements)

Why can not mechs be knocked down by kinetic-full hits (ACs, Gauss, PPC)? It is a basic feature for a game with such equipments and an inevitable cornerstone of anything what just loosely based on BattleTech.
II: Mech have articulated legs, noticed?
Why is it important? Because they could kneel and squat. Something like these are not missing right now? MWO probably the first mech game what miss these features (wonder why?).
III: Feel to power baby!
Bombing and artillery cannonade not even scratch the ground? Have you see real artillery fire? I did. The ground got altered like sh!tfull hell of damnation. Mean it. Also hills could collapse under certain weight and cause small avalanches. All mechs walk up on a hillside MUST have a chance to cause such an avalanche and fall to the ground (suffer damage from the fall may not necessary because everyone would protest against it for sure...). Said a 10% of the mech's weight that such avalanches occur (it is 2% for a 20 tonner and 10% for a 100 tonner, so pretty frickin low chances before someone may cry against it).

Not sure about how other planets may looks like but it is certainly sure they not have only and just canyons and cities. Plains, deserts, places where obstacles or terrain features are smaller than a mech. Staraya Rossja or something. Noone seen a proper lowlands or grassy plains in game? How surprising! Most mech (military) engagements took place on such places because, surprise, people like to use their eyes and see their targets + exploit the conditions to aim and use the long ranged weaponry, for example. Plus more space for maneuvering so ideal playground for lights and mediums. I KNOW! Hill-humpers would miss hills but planets are not features only canyons and cities. Or do in which case Earth is f**king unique to the end of impossibility...

For me if I were to add features to the game not just improvements to already existing pieces that we know we need to have fixed but to add to the game play itself it would be the following things:
- Interactive Maps
- Adding features like power grid controls in Solaris City when damaged knocks out lighting in grids making Night Vision or Heat vision required to see the enemy and friendly.
- Adding in the ability to activate defense features or protection for your unit like walls or cover when things like LRM’s over burden a battle.
- Creating randomized terrain features like buildings and walls that can change every match which changes the game play every time you drop. This creates an unknown that can help push back on the always here to fight feature or the infamous NASCAR around the center high point.
- Maps with features like volcano, water or snow can trigger eruptions or floods or slides that can cause impacts to vision movement that change how the player interacts not just in fight against the enemy but the ability to navigate the map.
- Adding features like power grid controls in Solaris City when damaged knocks out lighting in grids making Night Vision or Heat vision required to see the enemy and friendly.
- Decal grouping improvements
- Ability to group decals like letters and numbers into phrases that can be placed in 1 slot on a mech allowing for more of a customized look and feel for players.
- Training Mode that shows you overlay of a mech when learning the game to understand mech hit boxes, outline the different sections CT, RT, LT, COCKPIT so that a player can really understand when they are targeting a mech the effectiveness of focusing components.
- Have a Night and Day Mode for each map increasing the diversity of maps available. Make Night dark and not bright. I would love to play Polar at Night where its dark and heat vision is needed.
- Create a UI customization for the HUD for players that all follow basic features but create docking points that allows a player to move the HUD features around for Larger monitors. I play on a 3440x 1440 and I have a lot of empty space that could be filled if I could move items around on the HUD.
These are just a few ideas I have that I wanted to share as I know there are many more out there that are better but for me these would make the game more immersive as a player and make it feel more like my setup is unique especially when it comes to the HUD options.

Please Allow MASC Agility Focus Option
Please allow MASC to optionally be focused on agility instead of top speed. In the 2021 Quarter 1 Weapons Pass 1 happening, though raising MASC runtime, your nerfing agility, drastically so regarding turning speed. I don't need lots of run time or high top speed. I want to be able to dart out & back into cover quickly, even with big mechs (that's so much fun), and to be able to turn quickly when needed. It felt awesome in my Hellfire Void spinning around as fast as a Flea could run around me, keeping my aim on him, just like I had hoped. Now the Flea's will run around rampant even more where those of us with less skill and/or more lag can't shoot them.
I'd much rather you nerfed the top speed instead of the agility. Bigger engines already give higher top speed. Agility is more fun; a lot more fun. Please allow MASC's previous turning buff somehow.
Even if it has to be an upgrade like Artemis Missile Guidance. Paying for upgrades every time we swap settings is seriously, really seriously annoying, but even that is worth it to get the MASC agility back.
