In the case of MWO, one can ASSUME it would mean better performance because of the publicized excuses PGI has given in the past regarding why the game performs so slowly. Whether or not those excuses are legitimate has yet to be verified. Also, let's not forget that you are ASSUMING that because a couple of competent developers could easily port their game in a couple of weeks does not mean that PGI's developers have the time or know-how to do so as efficiently. Due to PGI's habit of hard-coding things that really don't need to be, it could be a much bigger project for them.
