Pretty much as Draughluin said.. I play from Japan on 1 gig fiber, OCE latency is ~80-90 for me, and yet I had 2 dc on Friday, 4-5 yesterday, and now my second match dc'd me right at the start of the game.. could be worse because all of the other ones my team was clearly winning and I had done well enough to get the points, but instead I got jack. That is a big problem, even worse during a tournament.

Seriously, what the hell is going on here?

So, anyone want to explain to me what is going on here?
Or am I just going to be ignored?
Kind of tired of trying to get 24 matches just so I can have the NZ flag cockpit item, on worse ping than NA servers at half the distance, whilst being disconnected consistently in the middle of battle.

I could go on and on about all the other things that irk me, especially now that I have recently seen what this game was like 2-3 years ago. Looked and sounded way cooler back then.

FYI PGI you have fixed nothing. Righjt now. this minute, as we speak I am looking at "Game server disconnected". Nothing was fixed I am seeing the same disconnect I experienced first day of the Oceanic Challenge. My Dakka Dire is now locked into that game for God knows how long. The last times (yes PLURAL) it always went over twenty minutes usually with the connection crash occurring between 5 to 10 minutes into game (So my point on THAT is... OVER the actual game time significantly with my Mech being locked from me usuing it usually 45 min to an hour at times.). For me it consistently occurs when my battling begins about 5 or so minutes into the game. So that is great. Maneuver, maneuver, start shooting, disconnect and knowing my precious Dire is now sitting in the thick of things, just acting as a big fat 100 ton paperweight of a target. And that is NOT a "whale of a good time" (sorry couldn't help it and I tried, I really really tried). My K/D score has never been one of my biggest concerns as overly being concerned about k/d makes you not play team tactics well and all, but I DO care some and this is killing what little k/d stats I do have. Been crashed outta Oceanic about 5 times now. I don't think it was EVER that 1% originally stated unless the stats were taken when it FIRST started happening before they went to their true buggy frequency which is far bigger than a measly 1%. Oh and when I DO get back my mech? Even though I did at least 100+ damage before dcing my CBILL and GXP and EP are all exactly precisely the same as before match. Not cool in a game requiring those things to gain an advantage and advance ones mech and to buy things including new mechs which we all need at least three of to simply level the mechs up. Yoou can see our frustration. Right?

Sorry to say PGI, "Houston... We have a problem"...

OK, just dropped a few since last post. On Oceanic. Working the challenge and all. About 4 successful or maybe 5. Now... Heeeeres a new one. Dropping. Get a drop. Screen goes black (like it does right before showing the map then the drop names on bothsides). Ok it's black. Black. Black and now the map? NOPE! "Still black with little nessage center screen. Guess what it says? You GUESSED it! Yep! "Disconnected from server". So I immediately kill the game and reboot game and rejoin. Same thing black, with little "disconnected" meassage. SO, I have no frakkin idea what frakkin map I am "disconnected" from in the Oceanic lineup, or whether it was "Skirmish" or "Conquest" (I set to both). So that is a NEW iteration of the crash. Kudo's! The variety in the bugs just never ceases! Hate to be bored with exactly the same bug, so I appreciate the small change up under the same bug column. So my mech as of, now, is locked into whatever Oceanic game and map, I never got to see. I may, or may not die, depending whether we win or not, and depending whether if we win, they still find my statue of a Dire Wolf just standing the with a "kill me!" sign hanging on my back during the fight, and give me yet another death to add to my k/d. Still suspecting the dc ratio bug to be over 1%. Just sayin'. As ever, thanks!

Just now happened again on Oceanic. DC that is. This time about 3 or 4 min into game and crashed out at nearly to the enemy. Not engaged yet. I imagine they are having their way with my mech about now. Needless to say my mech is LOCKED in that game. Motionless. Defenseless. A 100 ton paperweight of no use to my team. So one crash removed 100 tons of heartbreakin name takin mayhem from my teams advantage. I have posted today evertime the "server Oceanic crashed". I won't do it anymore. Anymore would probably constitute "spam" though apparently there's no limit to the Oceanic Game Spam Crashes. Are we over 1% crashability yet? Just thought you might like to know. I'm sure yer workin onnit so hf, gl and gg!

Gotta keep in mind. This game has been "constantly improved with player input at the front of all descision making". Now the flaw in thaqt ointment is also the "translation". "Player input" actually translates frquently to "the whiniest losers crying the loudest over that some good player used a tactic that maximized their advantage and or a loadout that did same" so "make it where they can't!". So remeber the adage "too many cooks spoiled the broth"? Yeah, that.

OK, so I have been playing the Oceanic server now since it was released. I have been getting disconnected on a regular basis throughout the day, everyday that I play. Even after the patch, the server is disconnected in the middle of matches or giving us problems with the play. It only happens when there is a status of 50% or more playing on the server.

Suggestion, take it down until fixed.

Ok just putting this out. Since last post DC rate on Oceanic for me is 50% or more. Wasted a whole afternoon off work getting dc half the time. On assault I should now have the Oceanic Flag yet instead I am at 15 matches won. This server is virtually unplayable. Warse a time waster for everyone playing on it. Peace out.

24 matches out of the 36 that is my aim to complete the challenge. Not only I have to compete with 300ms vs Acheetas (can't complain for that, Oceanic players had to go through the same thing in the other event) but I get D/C in one third of the games that I attempt. I don't know if I am super unlucky or not but I got it three times in a row right now. Wtf PGI, you start an event that u practially have to get 30 score in 48 games to beat it and at least 2/5ths of my attempts are disconnects in the beggining, end or halfway across the match... epic fail... what a waste of time...

Why put the servers up when they are in such a bad shape?

You can keep your warhorns... really not worth to spend another day trying in this hellhole 50% 50% dc or not, gg or not.

I got a call back from TPG.

Their response, shortly, was that they (and many other ISPs) have no peering agreement with the company that PGI selected to host MWO in Singapore. Routes will take TPG's default internet route via Tokyo. As such they will take no action to rectify the problem and closed my ticket. They do have a peering agreement with the company hosting servers for Wargaming.Net - maybe PGI should have done a bit of research before finding the cheapest provider and opening the chequebook?

Anyway, unless PGI finds a different hosting company, Oceanic servers will remain unplayable for a lot of Australian players - better to stick with the NA servers once this event is over.

Solved it for you - there is 100% packet loss within SINGAPORE.
And since i lived in Singapore for close to a decade I can tell you why. Its internet is heavily censored and everything must go through a proxy server. Which you have to enable on the PC end. But since players in other countries on other ISPs can't set a Singapore-based proxy or even log onto it.. even PGI morons should see the problem with that? Nice choice of server location. Next time put in in China, behind their firewall. See how that works out for you....

On Exetel/Optus get 106 ms ping to Oceanic server from Adelaide.

Worst part is game disconnects tho. I played 5 games on Oceanic. 2 of them I got "Disconnected from game server". After the 2nd one, went back to the US servers.

When trying to rejoin, it refuses to rejoin and gives the same error. Can't start a new game till the one I was in finishes.

It's getting really hard to play, about half of my games are ending on disconnects.

FWIW the disconnects are affecting private matches also.
