Would I support this game financially? No. No more. Would I still play the game. Sure. But in reality. Myself and a lot of you guys who paid alot of money for all these mechs I think for some of us it's time to zip the wallet up until something HUGE changes in this game. And no. I'm not talking balancing. I give 2 sh*ts about that. To me that's just wasting time. Some of you might say it isn't. But I think it is. The amount of time they could of spent on reworking the 3 current modes for puglandia would of been more beneficial to ALL of us as a whole community.
Any how I'm starting to ramble. Sorry if I upset anyone. But I'm one pilot who won't be throwing money to PGI anymore. I'll see some of you guys out on the battlefield.

I'm not quitting MWO though. Just because one can be addicted to meth, doesn't mean that breaks an addiction to crack.

PGI has two years to improve. This year was fairly reasonable for PGI. They spend alot of developing time. But however the terrible F2P and the minimum viable product still stays at the same place.
With the release of the invasion, resistance packages and more i personally believe and thats my opinion PGI has no clue how to balance the game. By just looking at PTS (think the damage control away for a moment) it makes my eyes water. Not to mention we still have alot of weaponvalues in a terrible state.
I don't like doomtalking too much. But the only reason i stay is because of some friends (whats left of it), my unit and other people i hang out with our nostalgia.
But when BT hits live servers and it suits me well i most likely play less or quit. MWO is more of a game to spend a few matches a week. BT is going to be a game to feel the immersion, feel your own control of the lore, have interaction with pilots and more.
I think it's the obvious choice where i would fall for. Repetitive stale arena game plagued by balance problems or a game who has everything what you can imagine regarding Battletech.

With all that being said, I am in no way discourage branching out and enjoying the different games available (I play Aces High as well), but live and let live. I disagree with some of the things PGI does as well, but MWO is not my project and I still enjoy it immensely. MWO/Battletech will be here long after the latest and greatest fad game comes and goes (Call of Duty anyone?)

I'm also ready for them to develop a much deeper game. The basic combat is extremely solid. We need a game on top of that now. And CW is unspeakable terrible. It takes a combat system with a lot of inherent balance (I mean IS vs IS or C vs C) and shoves it into a game mode whose design looks like it comes from Atari.

Oh yeah. FO 4 will probably eat up so many hours for me if it's anything like the previous games. I don't like that they dumped the skill system, claiming it was 'too confusing for players'. I mean really? Confusing to who? I've been playing RPGs with skill systems like that since I was like 10 years old.

I intend to play both. (WHERE WILL I FIND THE TIME!!!!) I enjoy interacting with people. A stand alone game (until it gets to multiplayer) would be for me to hide and enjoy the genre.

to be fair comparing MW4 series to MWO is apples to oranges in basically every regard, now if we could transfer MWO's so so grfx and minimal lag to MW4 well that would be a whole different story

I have recently however found myself losing interest more and more. The map and game mode limitations, the grind promoting events, and more importantly the limited tactical options ......................... everyone plays the same maps the same way regardless of the actual objective (constant brainless nascarring anyone).
I've had great fun, and I feel I got a huge return on the limited money I spent, but its getting less fun because its run its course for me. I've used up my enthusiasm or the game. Once that happens then things like grinding events, PGI failing to reward players for actually playing the objective, and the thoughtless nascarring become more annoying.
Its probably time to ease back, play less, and see how the game develop's over time. I'm sure I'll be back (if I ever completely stop playing) and I'm a fan of the game, but a break is probably required.

We don't owe anything to a computer game so no reason to be apologetic.

PGI seems content to keep selling us mech packs to stay afloat and thats it.

The clock is running, PGI have made excuse after excuse, and now there is going to be a game coming that could wipe 50% off the population of this game on it's opening day.
Additional shipping costs $30 for something I won't see for a year, put me in the not joined the kick starter group, for now, so hanging back from it and waiting to see if it clears the 2.5 mill for the solaris arena.
If it makes the target for PvP to be included I probably won't even bother buying the game, PvP always screws a games balance, it has in every PvE game that's been created, and this will not be the exception

I know BT won't be out till 2017. But the sounds of the game already excites my innards. Tactics. And strategy. Something that I want more out of MWO. I know ppl need to coordinate things like things but PGI gives us nothing in the game modes to entice ppl to think of how to win. Seems it's either death match all 3 game modes or that dreaded Nascar tactic. If they implement something like respawns in normal game modes it'd make the modes more "viable". Conquest. Only ever win if ppl really play the mode right. Assault. Blitzkrieg by lights and the game is over in less than 3 minutes. Skirmish well that's fine but something needs to be in that to make it less brain deadening.
I know. I know. We don't won't to turn this into cod or by. Etc. But. Having respawns makes those game modes what they are meant to be. Instead of death match all day.
Anyways.
Fallout 4. Chyea!! I want to build my house and super it up like CRAZEH!!!! SO CANT WAIT!!that game looks amaze balls. Oh. And ST. Battlefront. That game looks freaking awesome too...ugh my brain. So many sexy games to play....can we make a universal pole to change the time of days to 48hr cycles? 8 hrs work. 8 hrs sleep. 8 hrs family time. The remaining 24 hrs would be gaming time?? They should do a Kickstarter for that. Hahaha :-)

You can feel how sick the community has gotten of the same old song and dance.
More and more mechs, the occasional map, but no improvements to core gameplay.

If they get multi player I would bet on co-op being added.
If it hasnt been annunced yet its a card they are holding.
