For IIC clan wave 2, I would like to see:

Light: Locust IIC

Medium: Beowulf IIC

Heavy: Rifleman IIC

Assault: Phoenix Hawk IIC

Also, when are you going to add a clan counterpart mech to the inner sphere Jagermech? So far the clans currently have no heavy mechs with high mounted weaponry that would be the equivalent of a Jager. I would like to see this addressed in your town hall meeting.

Yes, but unless you generate heat faster than you dissipate it while moving you're still starting at 0 heat. Heat generated from movement isn't relevant to instant heat delivery weapons excepting the cool-down rate.

There are a lot of interesting things they could do to balance weapons around a much smaller heat cap per heat-sink / base heat cap. Applying a portion of a weapon's heat during it's refractory period and a portion at discharge is one of those things that could be used to balance a lot more seamlessly than ghost heat.

Watch your heat meter the next time you're in-game and running. It'll be non-zero.

My real questions

5) Can you please unlock the CN9-AH(L), AS7-S(L), and KGC-000(L) to sell? Some have 2 of each and wish to sell 1 of each to free up space.

8) Are you going to do a stat wipe for the steam release?

5 - its bad idea. bottles deserved, and donated for certain achievements. And not everyone has got to be sold
8 - CW map will be wiped

Thank you for doing these Town Halls!

Q1) What is the progress for the Next CW Update?

Q2) Have you considered doing Storyline PvE missions for MC that players purchase for MC?

Q3) to Balance IS vs Clan, have you considered giving IS a light weight fusion engine that works generally like the Clan XL with 2 side torso slots?

Q4) We would appreciate an update on the growth or reduction of the playerbase and CW?

Q5) Solaris7?

1) Will we soon have the ability to rotate our Mechs in any direction we'd like in the Camo Screen? Some mechs like the Ebon, King Crab and Crab have a flat surface where some of the cooler parts of a cameo are seen but we can't see them from just rotating our mechs left and right. So the ability to move our mechs up and down as well would be great to see and a nice addition to the Came Screen. Will that be considered in future updates?

2) Any Colours we own should only show up in the "Owned Section" not just grew out ones we don't own since it can be a pain to find grey's, blacks, whites and dark shades of any colour as they blend in with the non-owned things, will that be considered in future updates?

3) Will we see unseen mechs like the Wasp soon? I've heard talk the next one will be the Rifleman, but do we need another unseen heavy right now?

4) Will we have a halloween event like last year?

Has the inclusion of a resource raid game mode been considered for CW? Something that is 8vs8 with mechanics similar to capture the flag, attacking team goes out and takes resources then tries to get them back to a set point, while defending team tries to stop them and reclaim taken resources. Possibly with a 60-65 ton size limit similar to the proposed 4vs4 scout mode.

How much of that PTS is making it to the next PTS? (Or Live Server?)

Asked this question of some of the NGNG staffers if they happened to have any knowledge and they said would be a good question for the town hall.

Q: Has MWO: The Plan been abandoned and if not when will we get an update? I used to find it to be a great source of info. If it is brought back perhaps it could be given more focus on the site so that other players would find out about it and use it more. I think it went a little unnoticed.

Very much enjoyed what I saw from the PTS. Can't wait to see the next one. Hope we see something good come from the weight groups. I personally share the 4-man max group queue viewpoint so hope it works well.

What are the odds our Atlasesi get some love? They need a little more toughness to survive being the biggest target on the battlefield.

Q: will you consider a suburban map full of single story residences that splinter apart when shot or stomped. A map that will make the player feel like they're in a huge mech and not one dwarfed by the remnants of colossal bugs, giant trees or multiple story buildings.

I see. Welp. One more fine example of the dumb cludgery in the current heat system.

how did the lower cap/higher dissipation heat system for Clan mechs on the PTS work out? have you considered applying an even more drastic iteration of the same to both IS and Clan mechs in order to veer away from the alpha strike playstyle?

I second what posters above have said, a fixed cap of 40-ish heat with heat sinks only affecting dissipation would bring about a major change in how the game is played and improve not only TTK, but also secondary aspects such as staying truer to the lore.

Would we also see the option to separate the (F). (P), (L), (I), (S) and ® Mechs from Champions as tabs like Champion and Hero? Like Unique Mechs or something.

Since they offer c-bill bonuses like Hero Mechs, it would make sense to either have them classed as Hero or their own unique thing instead of just clumping them with Champions.

Not so much a question as a concern and a suggestion:

Perusing the forum threads as I do regularly, there seems to me to be an awful lot of folks asserting that they are unwilling to invest real (or even c-bills) money into the game because of so much uncertainty as to the games immediate and long term future.

While certainly PGI is getting investment via the newly released unseen mechs, I think it would get a lot more people investing in those mech packs as well as making other purchases if they would make an attempt to address this uncertainty.
By addressing uncertainty I don’t even mean actual changes being implemented but rather some CLEAR statements about the time frame and extent of changes that are being bandied about (in these forums) and how these changes if any will address some of the fears that current players seem to be expressing…
Be it the re-balance project and the fear of de-quickening once loved mech designs. The assertion that lore, a primary draw for many, is being put aside in the name of future balance. The rumor that clan mechs will lose the XL advantage and their weapons will be made less powerful (and arguably silly). That the rush to add more and better mechs is leading to power creep that will ruin the game, etc.

I think if Russ were to lay out a clear statement of recognition of these concerns and make an attempt to assuage players concerns and stamp out rumors, then perhaps PGI would find that people like me (who would like nothing more than to dump more $ into the game) just might do it rather than holding off until we know for certain what is to happen to our beloved MWO.

Could we get an equally thorough reporting system on good behavior? It would also allow techsupport to act on issues buy looking at a whole person attitude. Also it could reward you with specific achievements as your positive feedback builds. This could really promote good behavior as a whole throughout the community instead of a negative only reporting system.

More than that, make your "vision" swim and go to tunnel vision as it gets hotter. Give me some indication why mechwarriors in lore had to dress like this:

Posted Image

Make me see that the mech is heating up - if my mech actually shuts down from the heat, I should be ROASTING in that cockpit.

How's the search for the Junior Gameplay Engineer going?

Have you considered stringing together single-player modes into a Community Warfare "campaign," where the same two teams fight through Skirmish, Assault, and Conquest modes leading up to the final, climactic Invasion battle?

Any chance of introducing music into the games, or do you think that harms situational awareness too much?

Has there been any response from Harmony Gold after the sale of the upcoming mechs, and is there any chance of a relationship with them to license the original designs?

How do you guys and gals get any sleep?
