You are a masochist for sure, voluntarily continuing the pauper game

You know, after the stock challenge, I'll have a hole in my medium class. PNT, VTR, JR7-IIC, DRG. I'm gonna think "out loud" for a moment or two.
Each stage of this challenge has been designed with some thought behind it, to change it up a bit at each new state, and to keep the pokémech reflex in check. The stock challenge was really smart, btw. So was linking the ClanTech to the first quizmech's weight class.
After the first 2 rounds of quizmech, folks could have multiple mechs in the same weight class, or 2 different ones. Someone could easily be all lights after 3 stages, getting COM, RAN, annnnnnnnnd let's say ACH. With the unjqueness of the challenge, I could totally see them leaning JR7 in the stock stage, and being a specialist scout, or finally banking some tonnage for a dropdeck. Same goes for folks who started with assaults.
The thing is, we could answer and choose in good faith at every stage, and still end up a bit too "imbalanced" <insert joke here about stomp robot hobbyists> in our roster to field our dropdeck for CW, which is where we were aiming in the first place.
I don't want to promote pokémech, nor do I want yet another final challenge stage because I'm super enthusiastic (okay, the reflex is there, but I'm not trying to pander to it).
I do want to propose that we might want to consider "5th Horseman of the Apocalypse," idea, which folks could use to fill in their dropdeck with something other than a trial, or to fill some other need, perhaps a scout mech, or simply gaining a representative for a weight class we haven't gotten yet.
To be crystal clear: I don't want to promote moar collecshuns, or to do another stage without the thought or creativity that's characterized everything thus far. We do have potential for a practical hole though.
For instance, Bishop could only field a deck if if the dropdeck tonnage is at 250, to fit (edits) 2 of his TDRs assuming he pairs them with 2 RFL (assuming he has 2 from mastering his stock mech, and doesn't bring his stock mech). This doesn't include his Original mech, the Victor at all. He can't scout, except with a trial mech. A light jock may be stuck at the verrrrrrrry low end of deck tonnage (160), (edits) if there's a medium in the mix somewhere. Otherwise, it's a trials to fill. We're not necessarily selecting the stock much with CW in mind, we're selecting it because "Cool."
Okay, that's enough of the ambling thinky-ness. I think there's a practical consideration for "rounding it out," with regard to the roster. I also think that this keeps the dampers on collection creep because it's not mechs for mech's sake, but it's got a practical target.
I can't say enough that 1) there's no rush or pressure here, 2) that it should only be carefully (edit: and creatively) considered and implemented, and 3) it's not about power creep or collection-itis, and 4) not intended to give the challenge founders and coordinators an ulcer or migraine, or force their hand. 5) I just think about these things sometimes, and it seemed more productive to share the thought process. 6) Please give this line of thought a shake-down.
That's more than a few moments of thought, but I figure it's good for our little community of challengers to consider, even if we choose not to do something for it.
