Not trying to score points, simply saying quit the crying. If you don't like the game mode as a solo pug, than don't drop as a solo pug. It's not meant for that. I do enjoy solo drops from time to time in CW, but it's not for everyone. And when I do drop solo, I use VOIP. Do the other pugs listen? Hardly ever, but at least I can say I attempted to help the pugs not get stomped.
Not really nonsense, as I was simply stating most units enjoy a good fight. The client does give you VOIP, which CAN be used to COMMUNICATE with your TEAM. (Wait, isn't that team stuff in the game client?, not to mention the ability to form a unit, oh and also faction chat??) We wish the pugs would use proper teamwork and try and put up a good fight, but instead everyone gets all scared when they see a big group on the other side. You dropped in CW to fight, so form up, use the VOIP and fight. Take enjoyment in the fight itself, and well, if you end up getting farmed than try harder next time. I've been the pug in CW that lead my pug team to victory against 12 mans on multiple occasions now...
Also yes we could end it instead of farming the pugs, but the rewards are crap and we do like our cbills. The unit I'm in normally doesn't want to spawn camp (the dropships hit like dump trucks) but we are forced to at times because coward pugs like to hide in the spawn area and/or attempt to fight from these areas. When this happens we have no remorse and all ethics go out the window. We see it as you are throwing in the towel and want to give up and have the match end, so we simply try to speed this up while still receiving our reward.
Also don't blame the units for this, as it's PGI's game mode. Ethics are for real life, not video games. It is simulated war, and we all know how ethical war in RL is.
Edit: I forgot to mention team and lance chat, along with taking command and using the built in commands to attempt to lead your pugs to victory.
If CW is for groups, then you have no issues with making it group only i take it ???
heres a tip, its not currently, its open for all, and until it closes to pugs, the statement "CW if for groups" is a pointless.
and group stuff is not worked into the client, its just barely there at all. If you want to join a team currently, you have to go to a 3rd party site, fill out apps giving info to nameless people, download a 3rd party voip app ( because there is no in game team lobby ), and then follow calendars in different TZ's also outside of client, to play at a time when some no-life-freak dictates when you HAVE to be online for your "teams" ops or practice rounds. There are no leader boards, no team management ( the ability to send / receive a team invite IN GAME ), no ability to track team members play, no team member lobby etc etc etc. ( and no, the factions lobby is not a team lobby, faction lobby is a global chat function for factions, thats it. )
the few things you refer to as "team" resources in game pale in comparison to many other MMO's. having a lance / team chat function in a live round, a friends list, and a team tag is not team functions embedded in the client by any measure. Its a pretty name tag and basic online chat functions only.
edit : oh and lets not forget the take command comment, why would anyone do that and use it in its current form ??? personally the mini map blocking icons for orders issued are a joke, all they do is obscure the view of the mini map usually at key times of battle, as they are not transparent and well oversized only resulting in making the mini map worthless.
