You consider them "DOA" Mechs because they are not OP enough for you to do well in?

Do you want me to show you my mech stats so that you can see what mechs i pilot the most?
I even put near stock builds on supposedly OP mechs just to spit in the face of meta.
One can pull off 1K+ damage matches out of the summoner... But, it does not change the fact that the summoner is a bad mech.

I'm sure i'm not a meta tryhard... are you? Posted Image

Wait wait, if we are saying screw the timeline now the obvious light mech choice is the Blitzkrieg. I mean, yeah it is a 50 tonner and IS but screw canon right? I want my super speed UAC 20

Eh? Eh? Maybe endo? Maybe unlocked equipment? Maybe PGI would give a Clan mech quirks that actually break a 5% combined modifier? Posted Image

How about no. How about pod space, durability, Clan XL, broken hit boxes, better speed and mobility, targeting computers, etc.

If you pilot Clan mechs and need quirks go back to the tutorial. if you have come to realize that not all Clan mechs are awesome then you should know there are MORE broken IS mechs that never see the light of day except from specialists.

Besides quirks are a broken band aid used to cover up bad balance. They should not exist period.

Can we just accept the Fire Moth/Viper/Night Gyr/Kingfisher pack and move on please?

Not sure you want to strip like that, but the Fridge does get 2 bonus tons out of it (due to hardlocked heatsinks).

I always forget about those, but I don't think the Fridge has it as handily.

Then you should enjoy the challenge of a "DOA" Mech. And my first 1000+ damage game was with a Summoner by the way, but no, I do not have time to be a try-hard, I play for fun and do not buy Mechs solely based on their "viability".

I can agree on the Fire Moth and Kingfisher, but I would prefer the Black Lanner and Linebacker for the medium and heavy.

I only agree with you on fire moth and Viper....
Any pack without a Firemoth or Viper is an immediate no buy for me.

For heavies though... I want the Novacat (Prime, A, B, C all have 3050 tech) and... F* the timeline!
For assaults I want either a Blood Asp (with Heavy lasers replaced with ERs on 2 of its variants)... or a Madcat MKII... again... screw the timeline!

If I win the lottery tonight ( though very unlikely) I will for sure have the Mad Cat MK II put in.

still working on pulling my first 1000 dmg out of my stock Summoner Prime... highest so far is 842 with 4 kills. Unless I hoard my ammo to hunt damaged mechs at the end (a tactic I despise) it's been hard for me to break 650 dmg with any consistency, running around with just my ERPPC....

But I won't stop trying. 1000 dmg, 5 kills in a bone stock SMN-Prime is the unicorn I chase.

sorry Ted, but you can't lump the SMN in the same boat with Timber Wolfs, Hellbringers and Ebon Jags. Heck it's weaker than the Mad Dog, and overall does NOT compare to good Jager Builds, let alone Tbolts, the current Quickdraws, Marauders, etc.

Just like the IS, Clans have bad robots too, and the SMN is a bad robot. It has both a lack of tonnage for weapons and a lack of hardpoints. And being clan, a lack of Quirks.

I'll be the first to say Clanners cry too much, but in some cases, like Mist Lynx, Kit Fix, Ice Ferret, Shadowcat, Nova and Summoner? It's actually legit.

No.

Because if it doesn't have a Crossbow for the heavy, it means you are all idiots who are against me and against having good mechs and I'm going to spam everything I can think of to tell everyone that!

Though TBH, I probably wont be buying it anyhow.... lol.

Hey, the Night Gyr might feel like just another optimized Clan heavy, but it is a good opportunity for PGI to reuse the Hellslinger's External Heat Transfer quirk type on a more mainstream mech that everyone can use. If they're feeling particularly hardworking, maybe they can make those laser heat sinks generate a serious(ly pretty) lightshow anytime the mech runs hot.

Maybe those just cool a little faster for the sake of balancing out the fact that anyone using them will light up like a Christmas tree?

Oh would you at least TRY to keep your story straight.

We all know it's up to me, Pariah and Khan. At least that's what you've spent the last 3 days and 300 posts ranting about .

The Night Gyr is cool for a Jade Falcon mech, but why would you take one over a Timber Wolf?

Actually, to hell with Omnis. We've had three waves of them. I'd rather see second line mechs get some love.

Light: Pirahna / Medium: Corvis / Heavy: Viper / Assault: Supernova
