Not even the point, especially since half the mechs in TRO are for the IS?
And we are talking simple availability, in MWO, nothing else.

Kingfisher could actually be pretty good, a STD360 in a 90 ton 'Mech isn't that big of a handicap, especially not when your stuff is ligher, smaller, and more powerful. Turkina was...redundant.

This would satisfy us lore nerds and those of you who want Mechs from 3053 - 3060.

I think there was a forum rumor about potential future buffs to the sub-par Omnis. The word on the street is that Russ won't use hardpoint inflation as one of the tools for the buffing procedure.

the word on twitter, directly from Russ, is that he won't use hardpoint inflation to "fix the dogs"

No Coyotl, means I want nothing to do with those choices!

He left off the Woodsman and Lupus too, what kind of ship shod operation is he running on that thread anyway?

I hate to say I told you so. Well, OK, it doesn't actually bother me a bit. Quirk bandaids and slight equipment buffs, color me unsurprised.

NIGHT GYR DOA
I DEMAND NOVA CAT.
Edit: the 75 ton night gyr also has 38 tons of pod space. The nova cat can also jump in some configurations, so i no longer see a reason to include the night gyr, its an uglier nova cat with a 5 ton tax on your dropdeck.

I'd prefer this, personally. That's just me, though.
There are VERY few timeline Omni's left that I care about seeing in MWO at all, and if I don't see any of them, I'll survive. As much as I'd love to see the Night Gyr, and am interested in the Huntsman... there's a hell of a lot of Omni's available right now that will just add to the "Terrible mechs that will never see the battlefield" list. And then never get buffed, because some poor baby got killed by a Timberwolf yesterday.

Now, I'd buy a Heavy tier pack to get a Nova Cat, regardless of what the light and medium where. That thing is beastly.

There's also very few TRUE Totem MEchs (the Sarna List is ..overly generous to put it nicely) especially when you look to timeline and the fact several are Quads.

The Night Gyr technically has the advantage in tonnage when you account for all hardwired items.
However, I will admit that the Nova Cat does have more critical slots to build with due to lacking Ferro.
This means that the NC would be better for laser-intensive loadouts for boating heatsinks, while the NG would be equal/better for big dakka. NG may also have bigger arm/shoulder hitboxes, judging by the artwork.
Both are good at fulfilling the role of slow heavy with lots of guns, so you can't really go wrong here.

Then lets make this nice and simple

vs

Nova cat wins on cool factor alone.
IT IS DECIDED.

Using the original TT art of the Gyr doesn't make that even remotely fair.

Alex can always work his magic and make nearly anything presentable.
