No lone wolf option = I do not support the game.
The solution is to get rid of the arbitrary disadvantages for lone wolves, not to get rid of the lone wolf option. Lone wolves have enough of a disadvantage naturally from being out-numbered (locally and often strategically also). That's what "teamwork" is, after all--ganging up on a single lone wolf, one at a time. Two lone wolves are two separate battles for a two-man team, each of which battles is a two-on-one. So we lone wolfers don't need any more disadvantages manufactured for us. And don't even think about trying to force us into joining a herd, 'cause it won't work.
Echo,
I think you are letting your concerns get away from you a bit. I would wait till we here more.

If it were made in 3067, there would be some sort of time travel going on, not to mention the FRR would be a tiny speck and the clans would be on the map.

Like for a planet view have the planet be rotating and if there's fighting on it you can show exaggerated explosions. (IDEA ALERT)
Colddawg,
I'm sure you know this, but you know your Signature is an direct insult to any Clanner right? :-) Makes me chuckle every time I see it. :-) +1 :-)

I'm glad to hear that. Any time I hear about anything regarding 'point decay,' it reminds me of the old WOW PVP grind.
I want to be able to take a break from playing a game in order to do something that is not playing that game.

By the way...city or wildland? I was certified wild land for years and as a first responder. Never saw anything too crazy though.

Here too, anytime I read someone complaining about Point Decay in these forums it makes me want to rip my hair out. We don't even know HOW it's going to be implemented yet..

Buying LP is not really what I'd like(because it depletes) I'd rather be able to buy equipment and stuff to grab what I want off the bat and build a decent starting mech for 5-10 dollars then continue to buy stuff as I play. I hope they make it so you can build a mech for under 10 dollars that way we can all plan to have a mech for each weight class for 40 then everything else is gravy.
If this game allows me to play allot and feel the benefit of playing at the same time as recognizing that life gets in the way so some of us will loose allot of LP and would like to buy things that don't disappear. So maybe I get exposed to an item through constant play I really like and then I'm out for a couple months I come back and buy that and other items I was really digging for my builds. I know this cycle is how most of my friends game and the F2P makes it so you have no barrier to entry and no worry about leaving knowing you can come back any time. Maybe they do something were if you buy an item you unlocked through lp you get a discount. That way they get the money from you before you take your break. Time value of money. Seriously if a game like BF3 or COD allowed me to buy in game items(assuming you don't pay for the game upfront) I'd be game I hate wadding through some of the more filler weapons.
BEWARE of balancing since players will expect to buy an item and for it to stay as it was when purchased.

As I see it, the Border Worlds are the only place where fighting will be taking place. If the Faction-Controlled spaces are effectively "bordered" by Border worlds, it would be impossible for Faction units to directly attack another Faction without first passing through a "Border" region.
Therefore, I believe that all fighting will be done in the border areas, with Mercs in control, but reinforced by regulars and possibly lone wolves (if they are allowed to compete in the real-estate portions). This could lead to some very interesting fights! After what I thought would be just a "fluff" update, I can't wait to see what the rest of the month has in store! Just my two cents.
EDIT: I am definitely leaning towards being a faction player now!

Hopefully IGP gets a wicked rate on raised floor space/hardware.
Montreal, man the gaming scene has exploded, Russia, Canada, and America is standing there with it's thumb up it's *** missing the boat.
2 more AAA titles? Whatever could they be?
*edits*
wait a minute -
Anthony Brown, the ceo of parent company 7G Entertainment, stated his clients are Canadas first video game writer. The brand new Montreal venture will concentrate on high-quality AAA games. It’s already guaranteed three contracts – the very first of the online part of the overall game MechWarrior V, that is being produced by Vancouvers Piranha Games.
So is MW:O just a piece of MW V? As in there's going to be a tie in between the 2 somehow?
Is one of the other contracts MechWarrior V?
Is that why you guys aren't doing a console/retail version?
