Anyone Sick Of The Lurmageddon Yet?

I would blame this on the more recent proliferation of LRM oriented MECHs introduced. We have see Archers come up for C-Bills and then I have noticed that due to the Cyclopes special characteristics, seeing a lot of them with high number LRM builds. I am even seeing Kodiaks with LRMs.
And yeah, I am seeing Alpine and Polar get picked a bit more often so some can take advantage of those new toys. So the OP is not altogether wrong. But, as some have said, if you are aware that that is happening, make sure you dress accordingly. More AMS, Stick with the group, don't cross open territory without support and so on. (As others have already said).
Right now seeing a lot of long range sniping to go along with the LRMs. Close in Brawling is a strategy game that requires a bit of patient planing.

But I built a brawling, 2-alpha-and-overheat meta mech. How else would I use my leet mouse clicking skillz if I don't walk across open ground towards those dirty cheating LRM boats? And why isn't my team charging out with me? Cowards!

Mostly because many of them are afraid of their paint jobs.

How many kills did that translate to?
1/3rd of an Atlas, 1/2 of a locust, and 2/5th of a Timber Wolf, and MAYBE a full Dire that walked into the open while NARC'd. I assume. I haven't been able to play much recently because every time I try to have a battle of zellbrigen I get ambushed by the entire enemy team. Glorious deaths where you kill 2 of the 6 players shooting at you is fun, but it doesn't allow you to pay attention to much in the ways of how matches are going.

I kinda miss it..It was fun playing dodge the lawn dart in my Locust.
Maybe the OP should practice with a Locust or something else small and light and practice his cover movements?
Cover,AMS,Radar Dep,terrain masking, etc so many tactics to turn LRMs into just a mere annoyance instead of a threat.

I bet you OP was running a trial KGC.

I'm Tier 4/3 because I rarely play since they introduced it and I still know the basics of LRM avoidance.
Sure the modules are expensive, but just yank it out and drop it in the chassis your grinding.
I suggest buy 3 of them and viola, you can grind a chassis with the lovely radar dep and BAM now LRMs aren't a threat.

Doubt anyone left at pgi knows how to even do that, though, seeing as they still haven't figured out how to make a weapon that can switch firing modes and use an alternate projectile. (AC/LBX)

Apparently not all of the LRM heavy users know how to properly dumbfire either.
Those hybrid SRM/LRMs would be nice to have too.
