So my Urbie with 3 small lasers and 2 AC2's is going to be in great shape now!

So Ultra 20s are worse now? Ultra 20s already were not worth taking because of the rediculous heat generation and lack of pinpoint damage.

Ultimately, the near 30-60% DPS increase across the UAC line, compared to the other Ballistic options, made UACs a direct DPS 'upgrade' over those alternative Ballistic options. While this is somewhat needed on the Inner Sphere side to help justify the higher tonnage and slot requirements, this trait is not shared on the Clan side. For Clan 'Mechs, the UAC is essentially a 'free' upgrade that was vastly over-performing against the Ballistic alternatives.

What "Ballistic alternatives" for the Clans are you talking about? The Clan "ACs", the ones that should have never been introduced in the game anyway if not for your inability to implement switchable ammo? Those "Ballistic alternatives"?

I also note you made positive changes to the Timber, Crow and Direwhale. I will leave you with this.....

WOW just wow!

You do realize that the only "positive changes" on those three Mech that you listed are the "Set of 8" quirks which you lose as soon as you change an omni-pod. So only stock Mechs would get a benefit. I do not think you have to worry about being dominated by one of those unless you are running a stock IS build.

Straight nerf to the ACH. Woe to you, semi-viable light mechs!

A total Clan nerf, as expected.

I would have loved to see the Victor get some structure or armour buffs for the torso locations... help them brawl a little more with the AC/20 and SRM load outs.

Not too bad actually, pretty OK balance changes. Nothing I strongly disagree with... for once. Now we just need some more of these small changes, every patch, for a while.

We can't possibly have a Clan light that is the equal of the Spider or Firestarter can we?

Agreed but why bother was more my point. Hey these mechs are good already (PGI words) here are some increases.

So now will the Clan Large Pulse lasers have a shorter duration now that their range has been cut in half? No one likes ERLL beacuse the duration feels like a decade.

Lurms didnt really need a buff. Indirect weapons are rarely a good thing to buff.

I just want to take a moment, here, and state that I really... really... really appreciate that you all added the reasoning and logic behind adjustments.

yup. Really helps to understand what's going on behind the scenes, and why things are being done. Way better than the more oddball changes in The Old Days, where you'd just be left scratching your head and struggling to understand why something happened.

Particularly when I disagree with some changes, I'm substantially happier understanding why they did what they did. It helps inform further discussion, and allows us to give actually relevant feedback.

To keep it honest, Clan Mechs are mostly better performing than the IS's - talking about CW here.

CW has a whole lot more bigger ... no, I meant ... "YUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUGE!!!!" problems than Clan Mechs performing better.

Huge hit boxes.

honestly, the structure quirks probably aren't necessary. the kodiak has good hitboxes, good shield arms, and is easily the most agile 100 tonner. if anything needs structure i'd say it's the dire wolf.

This is a joke right? Even though the nerfs to the ACH are dumb and needless, it'll still be the best all-around light and the JR7-IIC is still right there, in several different configurations.

I think he meant to have said "we cannot possible have a Clan light mech as good as the Locust."

seriously that cLPL change is a joke right?

the reason the CERLL is not used is an abyssimal bad beamduration, even if it had 5km range + a rather bad damage/heat value. The damage than one can put in a proper section is so low it is not worth to be used.

Also, why did you removed the leg HP from the CT and distributed this on the legs again? That makes no sense or will we get some real special legs differing? so far we havn't

and th nova weapon quirk changes, I really do not get some of them them.

so you lowered it's durability by 2 HP at the legs, fine when this is the offset to the changed size and it's not that much.

BUT you really lowered quirks for the ballistic and the Missile hardpoint? while you even BUFFED the prime ST's heat while you took soem form the arms.? straneg decision especially removing so many quirks of the totally undersued and M hardpoints, and when you spoke of how the NVA exceeds most other mediums, it was surely not done with these 2 kind of hardpoints.
The NVA B and NVA C novas RT have no quirks anymore while you BUFFED the prime novas by some heat and 5 HP.
Does that mena you forgot just those 5structure on the B and C LT and RT? ok, the right torso is somewhat useful as people use the NVA for energy wepaons.
But the LT? that 1M or 2B hardpoint torsi aren't actually used often anymore and everyone putting some lasers in the NVA will use the prime LT and RT anyways. And I dunno when someone lately used MG's on the Nova anymore. So that the LT of the B and C have not received those 5 structure as well seems to not to be right by balance.

It's also still kinda sad that you havn't really unified CT quirks, the Pirme still ahs the pointless overheat damage. All I gonna do now is swapping the B for the D as it has turnspeed. So this gives the following choices.

yaw angle
yaw speed
yaw speed + ams. Well thats theoretically superior, except no oe serious uses AMS anyways.
overheat damage reduction
Trun rate.

and btw, NVA S RL has a ytpo

Energy Heat Gen old -2.50% new 0.00% change -3%

Now speaking about the added 8/8 pod quirks,

well for the prime Nova it may be usefull. but the most real meta NVA's are donw with ERSl, or ERSPL so they will mostlikly not use them and can till drga free of all the fun and mostlikely choose yaw speed or turn rate.
All the other 8/8 sets seem to vbe very pointless, sine I doubt soeone will put a Nova together like this just to get those quirks.
The NVA D 8/8 seem also to be inferior to the NVA C bonus.

And I dislike the general pod bonus attem as this is again and always was totally the opposite what the point of omnipods was.

I just kinda feel sad for all the casuals who don't have the time to go through all thsi constant podswapping for min maxing that mess out.

I also try to figure out if the bit lower hardpoints the LBK compared to the EBJ really justify such mobility quirks, so inb4 people complain about p2w quirks, these seem to be a bit too much for some initial quirks, I mean seriously, the EBJ's don't have any quirks at alll not even for their own interpod balance..
