they didn't include things still considered "experimental" during this time frame it seems but then they have never included "experimental" technology. Lose with the "timeline"? yes, but never "experimental" tech.

These were all "experiemental" level tech during "Civil War Era" time. Other games have included experimental tech but MWO doesn't really have a history of doing so. But I mean if you really want to go that route....the IS list gets even bigger by a lot actually...like a lot...

A lot of clan mechs have ECM and with the ability to change about hardpoints through omnipods it means that any mech with an ECM omnipod can adjust its other options to be favorable and to the pilot's liking. There aren't that many ECM IS varients out there and out of the ones that are availble only a small handful have any type of hardpoint load out and weigh capacity that is useful. The same goes for MASC, a MASC equipped omni with jump jets, which you can put an ECM on and change its hard points about on....yeah I think that only exists in clans right now.
IS gets an armor that takes up 12 slots, doesnt save weight, and can only be used on ECM mechs. That isnt OP... with Endo-steel, an xl engine, ECM, and stealth armor, you're looking at 18 to 20 slots total left for all weapons, ammo, and heatsinks (most of which weigh more and take up more crit slots). With an LFE, you are looking at 2 more crits and a serious hit to weight savings. Plus when you activate your stealth armor it is gonna mess with heat.
Also we don't know what about autocannons is gonna change or not change....what about heat is gonna change or not change. But giving everyone more options (especially IS) only helps the argument to remove some of the nerfs from clan tech that were added to help balance again IS inferiority. Also, everyone always complains about making too many changes at once but when they feel like they are getting cheated, they want
more change and
immediately. Lets feel it out and see how it changes things before we determine what is and isn't fair. Several of these on both sides are gonna most likely be DOA anyhow.
