I mean how? If Hollander is a free kill, and pretty much all other support mechs; Panther, Adder, Cougar, and Urbanmech should be free kills.

Well, with exception of Urbanmech, all other three mechs are indeed bad, but they are hardly free kill....

The Cougar is definitely a free kill. Even with just double ERPPC I can rip them in half very quickly.

Well a Couger or Panther are pretty close to free kills. The thing is the very reason you guys want this mech, it's big gun, will give it a huge weapon buldge with an exploding weapon. To maximise your already lomited tonnage you'll probably run XL so basically you won't be able to protect that gauss & so there won't be any real dmg spreading....

I guess there could also be powerful anticrit quirks but introducing a mech so completly in need of the strongest quirks the game has ever seen is just a bad idea.

i wouldn't mind getting the hollander if it was given the quirks necessary to be viable, but that doesn't seem to be a direction PGI wants to go in. maybe we'll see it eventually though if they get desperate enough.

Or maybe that's because there's already 27 Omnis announced/in game compared to just 9 Battlemechs, and perhaps most of the iconic omnis that people get worked up over are already in game?

I mean, "No Opinion" is currently a top 10 choice too.* Does that mean that due to the current implementation, there's little appetite for more... 'mechs?

(Edit: I guess it's 11th. Your list is missing the UrbanMech IIC. That pushes the Turkina off the top 10 and makes it 9! BattleMechs.)

You can forget about all of these IICs due to lawsuit, and Fire Moth is never going to be ported unless PGI finds a way to fix speed bug.

So we basically have Stone Rhino only, for now.

Yes, but they have less votes than Stone Rhino, for now.

Turkina is one of the mechs I am patiently waiting, I really want all of original Mech Commander and Mech Commander 2 mechs ported eventually.

1. Hollander (45 ton medium version in MC)
2. Stiletto

Clan.
1. Turkina

That's it really. Only three more mechs we get complete set for first Mech Commander and its expansion mechs.

2. Flea (Fire Ant in MC2)
3. Hollander
4. Razorback
5. Enfield
6. Men Shen
7. Sha Yu
8. Starslayer
9. Lao Hu

Based on how PGi has been handling porting mechs, quite a lot of mechs on this MC2 list will take long time or never be ported at all.

PGI seems to be reluctant to do IS omnis so who knows how long it'll be for the Men Shen & others. Still hope for the Men Shen, it has the most potential of an IS omni to be a good mech.

The Fire Moth could work, the only solution I know is to give it the same engine as the Pirahna and bump the MASC speed up to 150-ish.

That would be no speed-up at all because a 180 engine lets you do 156 with speed tweak.

I think a 4 kph speed boost is not worth whatever weight the MASC is consuming.

I really do not want PGI to completely cripple mech to just port it.

MAYBE after they change the game engine, otherwise it is not just worth it.


Anyway, JUST WHERE IS FLEA PGI?

What would you estimate a good MASC speed for the Moth? Because 210 won't cut it.
