TBQH, if it's not doing 180 it's not worth the loss in firepower because I can already get to 165+ on Locusts, Spiders, Commandos and those aren't exactly bristling with guns. 175 kph at a minimum.

Really, though, I don't think PGI will bother. Too many build violations required to get it into the game.

Understandable, I appreciate your honesty. I do wish the Fire Moth could have a way to tweak the MASC speed without it being game breaking.

Some of the Clan mechs need some new mechs to fill out for the variety to the tonnage gap, so these were the mechs I can see to add that variety.

As Three Dog Night sang, "One is the loneliest number that you'll ever do"

20 tons (only the Piranha is there)
Fire Moth (Dasher)
Howler (Baboon)

25 tons (only the Mist Lynx is there)
Locust IIC
Commando IIC
Icestorm
Fire Falcon

60 tons (only the Mad Dog is there)
Glass Spider(Galahad)
Hellfire/Lupus
Thresher
Matador
Predator

80 tons (only the Gargoyle is there)
Canis
Phoenix Hawk IIC
Warhammer IIC
Though the Phoenix Hawk IIC and Warhammer IIC are debatable due to the whole HG lawsuit happening.

95 tons (only the Executioner is there)
Turkina

I sure hope not the hollander. We can do that already with the raven 4x. clans can do it with almost any 35 ton mech. Owens seems like a fatter worse jenner. I can just see it being awe on its side huge. i'd rather have a wasp lam.

Why anyone would choose a Hollander is beyond me. I would be better off with an Arctic Fox.

Does the 25-ton slot get to be even lonelier since you forgot it?

It's like an urbie, but with a torso mounted ballistic weapon. HGauss on a light, anyone?

You know you can do it right now, don't you? Take the FS9-H, it has ballistics in the torso and it is also a 30t Mech.

There is a reason noone is doing it. Try it out and you will know.

Was looking over the poll and I can honestly say that virtually none of the ones with the highest total vote counts are ones I would actually consider buying. If PGI goes off the winners of this, they won't be getting my money.

The list has been updated. Thanks for the lookout man, despite the smart-alec response.

This list depresses me.

Only the Sunder and Templar have any vague interest from me, the rest are completely forgettable snooze-fests.

Well let's see the IS choices:

Hollander - yeah, no argument. This is bad.
Dervish & Men Shen - there is only a single vote difference, so I consider both of them. Dervish would be ok but unspectacular; Men Shen would be great.
Crusader - again ok, some mild novelty, but nothing I am exited about.
Marauder II - people might be misled by the MAD IIC's performance... the Marauder II is quite mediocre indeed.

The list strangely omits some Mechs which should be in the top 10, like the Men Shen (327 votes) or the Wasp (312 votes).

But yes, overall the poll is quite depressing when it comes to IS Mechs.

The only way the Hollander will be playable is if they give it Urbie level quirks. Frankly, it's such a stupid idea in the first place, I'd rather they just not execute it. I don't want to see a 35 ton IS 'mech with a gauss rifle enjoying +40 armor to each torso location so it can survive while crawling around at 80 KPH or whatever. This game is a parody of itself sometimes as it is.

Half the 'mechs that were on the list are unseen or omnis, however. Probably just a mistake, easy to overlook stuff when you're sorting through four separate polls.

I believe the current order should be Hollander, Crusader, Marauder II, Owens, Dervish/Avatar, Men Shen, Wasp, Chimera, and Sunder.
