Wasn't there once a kinda official version in 3025 sans the hatchet but just 3 extra heatsinks?
Don't care about physical combat...but I want that head!

You guys need to be more open-minded. Or just less biased.

Not automatically. But it does depend on the geometry of the mech packing it. For example, I would fear for my life being in an Avatar, given it has rather large side torsos. The thing that would turn more people off from IS omnis is that a couple of them also have SHS, and there is currently no way to swap SHS for DHS if you have an Omnimech. Specifically, the Owens would decidedly not be a joy to pilot, nor the Strider.
Otherwise, it's a geometry thing. If the IS omni has easy to focus side torsos, and packs an IS XL, it is a bit of a death sentence for the mech. If the geometry is solid, the damage spreadable, than the risk of piloting one of them is significantly offset.

Something to consider is that for most IS mechs above 40 tons it's usually a bit of a guessing game as to whether or not they have an XL or LFE. This level of uncertainty can sometimes work in your favor if you're packing an XL on a mech that people don't normally expect to XL, especially if your loadout doesn't give it away immediately.
Omnis don't have that kind of guessing game; you always know what they're gonna pack. This level of certainty increases the risk considerably even if the hitboxes would normally be XL-friendly since people will intentionally go for the sides.
Still, I think that this can be mitigated with proper levels of quirkage and agility on the affected units in question. I don't think we have to go out of our way to avoid IS XL Omnis.

I would happily run a Sunder and do better than much of the other garbage running around this game. Just saying.
Removed the Marauder II

What do you all think is next?
I'm going to guess probably an IS light or IS medium.

Well which one/s would you like Gas?
IS light for me is the Brigand and medium I'll say Lightray

It's base speed is 162kph and I know it says with MASC it goes up to 216kph while this could be a challenge PGI could always lower it to speed cap that the server could handle. If this were to come out I know tons's of people especially in my unit, myself included would throw our wallets to the screen and weep in joy.

Yeah, I'd say lower the MASC speed to 174. It should help with the Fire Moth's speed.
