Clan : 54.5%, IS : 45.5%.
Claims that IS got crushed hugely are gross overstatement. And mercs switching to IS side on last days of event to change final outcome was real.
Being on receiving end of some merc pushes with overquirked meta IS mechs, feeling is near total helplessness. Nothing can be done to stop them. How did IS lose? Because most IS players do not drive meta monsters. If they did, outcome of this event would have been totally different.
As has been said many times, giving more to IS does not help IS, it only helps mercs. It also hurts Clan loyalist badly, many abandoning FW, some even MWO.

think you should re-look at the bar on the site. it was 83% clan, 17% IS.
what you quoted were the stats for LAST YEAR'S Battle of Tukayyid.

Uh, no.
What you are seeing is the percentage stage which moves to 3.3% advantage per win (I think that is the right percentage). So clan only needed to have 25 more victories than the Inner Sphere to reach the 83% lead you are talking about.
Mind you, I also would like to know where you got those stats from smokeguar.

Communication, coordination and teamplay wins the fights, not dirty clanner tech or the noble warmachines of the Inner Sphere.
Played as IS merc the entire event, now our three man unit decided to go Liao loyalists.
So, thanks for all the nice rewards PGI and thanks for all the great fights and banter clanners

How about being on the receiving end of constant PPC Guass (IS attacking on Vitric Forge anyone??), whilst being unable to find cover due to the open nature of maps whilst trying to advance? Sick to death of this "over quirked IS mechs" Claim, if you look at what pitiful quirks we have left, it amounts to nothing against superior range and damage.

I want to give a big thank you to our opponents in the last scouting match, it began 6 minutes to the end, and as opposed to a normal match, we asked if they just wanted to meet somewhere, and do 4 separate 1v1 matches They agreed, and unlike so many others, were honorable. We all fought, and had some intense fights. Thanks for being good sports and showing honor, It's something I've seen far too little of as of late.

Had a Siege game the other day where we (IS) were getting hammered trying to attack. On our last wave, the clanners consented to let us set up a firing line outside the base and attacked us, just to give us a chance at some glory.
Can't remember the unit though, but it was a nice gesture, letting us set up for a proper fight and not being camped at DZ or having to go through the meatgrinder (metagrinder?

Was it 54/45 the whole time?
No.
Gratz on taking the pedal off in the last couple of hours...
Best i can figure that gauge is flawed in the sense that any time it gets buried in the 100% clan side, the next IS win will tick it back a few percent.
By you assertion we could add up all the points clan and IS side and wave our fingers to ignore the scouting points and the distrubution is going to be 54/45?
No.
I won't say it is a tech imbalance but a quality imbalance. Whatever the reason though, you cannot possibly assert the end result approached even.

Think 55 / 45 was from day one.
Siege, QP and scouting splits are things to be seen.

Agreed, need some hard numbers before we say it was remotely close to balanced.
As someone that played the entire event, i can safely say the majority of my invasion matches were seige with at most 3 conquest and only one skirmish... all with clan at 50+ percent (ie IS never got the bar to there side... that i saw anyway)

I can't speak for all my fellow teammates, but I know several of us felt bad that we had to win matches quick just to give ourselves a chance to keep up with those using the scout mode. Their was not much satisfaction in those quick matches and feel bad for those clan players who might have waited several minutes for a match. It may not mean much, but I for one apologize. I hope future events can somehow find a way to solidify the scoring system to make for an overall better experience for everyone. Anyway, thanks PGI for giving us an event..Faction Play could definitely use more of them.

Pug vs 12 men unit with comms and seasoned tactis is hopeless. You can be clan or IS but the unit will win 100% of time. Maybe PGI should divide the FP battles between solo players and *groups* (not units as they did during FW phase 3, but groups) introducing some sort of matchmaking. By default, it should be pugs vs pugs and groups vs groups, switching to pugs vs groups only if a match could not be created.
Moreover, I think PGI should change the desing in order to limit the snowball effect. Snowball effect is unavoidable in a 48 vs 48 drop but I think it could be mitigated.
If one faction is winning in terms of kills or objective, the other one could get some sort of additional reinforcments in terms of additional mech tonnage to the dropdeck. E.g. , clans are winning 15-4, Spheoids can substitute one of their mech in the dropdeck with an heavier one in order to turn the tide of battle. I do not pretend it's a solution, it's just some food for thought. Snowball effect is the worst thing in FW in my opinion, some match are decided after the first 5 minutes, having to play another 20 mins in a hopeless situation is not fun IMHO.
FP was never designed for solo Pugs. If you wanna Pug play QP. That easy!

And honestly, all that seal bashing is so boring to do these days... Anyway, time to play some more megamek, this game is loosing the battle feeling and moves to be more and more of some crappy MMO.
