[assume the example has chain fire enabled on the weapon group]
Lasers are able to be clicked fast/repeatedly to be shot faster one after the other
other weapon systems cannot do this.
Is it possible to fix this so we may 'rapid fire' click chain fire?

Honestly, we all know that as a F2P game they need to find ways to monetize the game to keep it running. I get that. However, when the main source of revenue that the game has had for years is losing its luster (direct quote from Russ, "It's not as exciting anymore.") such that Russ wants to pursue other primary monetization methods . . . that doesn't give me warm and fuzzy feelings about the game.
If they were to put a great deal more focus on balance and do things like Fix Flamers and make REAL DPS Pulse Lasers (both questions they skipped) then I might be up to paying for more content. However, I still don't know if I'd want to pay to have Solaris added to the game. As it stands they've got so much work to do on balance that it isn't even funny in the least. Hell, Russ admitted that he only just recently realized that it'd been 2.5 years+ since most weapons have received balance passes.
As it stands the core game needs some work, and the guarantee of REGULAR MONTHLY balance iterations, before I'd be willing to pay for game mode type content ... or any content for that matter.

Did he not say, it was such a long time since new equipment was released? And prior to that they said that it has been a rather long time for the lasers.

The more double taps you do, the more jam chance you would get on your next double tap.
Make it happen
I am fine with the jam chances on my Mech that boats UACs. For example, my KDK-3 with 3 UAC-5/1AC-5 and 4 MPL does just fine. However, my Mechs with 1 UAC-10 or 2 UAC-5 are in such a state that I have to avoid double tapping. Figure out a way to increase jam chances on UACs based on the number equipped or give Mechs that can only equip one or two jam reduction quirks like the IS Mechs have. The too frequent jam chances and jam times on top of the longer cooldown times have hurt the mixed build Mechs disportionately since the changes last fall.

That's basically what I just mentioned, and admittedly complained about.
The sad and pathetic part is Russ admitted in the stream that Chris and himself just recently realized that it'd been 2.5+ years since most weapons in the game (namely the lasers) received any balance iterations. Yet at the same time they said that balance should be ongoing and iterative. Thusly they're failing to meet the expectations they set in their own stream.
One major worry of mine is that adding new equipment to the game (as much as I want it added . . . believe me I want it added, and a lot more then they're doing for the Civil War update) will just exacerbate the whole problem of lacking in iterative balance.
Yet now Russ wants us to pay for a game mode to be added because mech packs aren't as "exciting" any more.
I don't think they'd be in anywhere near the state they're in if they actually did commit to doing monthly iterative weapon and gameplay balance. It doesn't need to be the whole lineup, but at least a few weapons a month.

I don't expect it to suddenly appeal to me because the rest of the game is 'boring', and I won't throw money at something that has zero appeal.
Now, if he had asked few years back about additional cash to implement that community warfare he originally pitched (you know, the one with jumpships, and logistics, and all the rest... I could have probably been convinced to throw money at it.
Last year if he had asked for money for additional invasion-mode maps, I might have gone for it. Maybe.
This winter when my premium time runs out, I would almost certainly have bought another year's worth...if I still needed it for those ancillary features in private lobbies.

Kudos to Naaaaaark for this.
Read if for confirmation that PGI's lead developer and new lead balancer have frightening little understanding of their own game.

That probably depends on the year. The 3058 Tech Readout states "Strangely enough the only Crusader Clan known to
field a handful of Kodiaks is Clan Ice Hellion". Since they have flavor text for the mech in that Tech Readout up through 3063, I would think that it applies at least until that time frame. It still seems weird to me that PGI decided to use the Spirit Bear Hero mech from this same Tech Readout. It was a Kodiak that was gained as battlefield salvage in 3063 by Clan Nova Cat pilot Star Captain Caden.

Say you can bet up to 1000MC and spectate the games (1vs1 up to 4vs4).
and 20% of the investment is a fee for PGI, so you will run out of MC at some point and have to get more.
Playing in a Solaris match could also cost 10MC or something depending on the ladder/rank/tournament...
Not sure about best way to do it, as I am not familiar with betting or fees.
Edit:
preorder of a "DLC" is usual stuff in gaming industry nowadays, right? So yeah, why not have "early access" for Solaris.

I doubt they would be able to bet MC. Gambling anything that was purchased (or able to be purchased because they will have to prove you didn't buy the MC, or even C-Bills for that matter) causes a LOT of legal problems for online games.
