Think I'll spend my few hard earned dollars somewhere else from now on.

That being said, if the clans don't win, IS wins. I say give them their Mauler (I'm a clanner myself), or give us the Mist Lynx. I don't buy this "in real war nobody wins" thing. It feels really cheap.
When everybody else feels ripped-off, maybe not everybody else is wrong, PGI?

The rules for winning should be defined before next event.

As for do the IS deserve the draw?, sure, clans must have bid too few forces and run dry at the end of the fight.
However the problem I have is Lore based, if we have mercs in the clans (using clan tech lol, like the clans would let them keep it and then when they change sides they mysteriously can't drop in it no more) and 12 v 12 and all that and aren't respecting Lore or even hinting at 'reality' (you know what i mean), why the hell don't we just have mixed tech and be done with it. We can have different chassis, but forget all this other stuff and lets start jamming those XL clan engines and clan endo in our marauder 3r's and boating clan er large lasers and clan heat sinks and bugger the rest, or do we just like bitching about imbalance ad nauseam. Then at that point unbind clan xl engine sizes so omnis can change while your at it.
Then the only difference is skill which clans historically had the edge in and probably do in MWO as well, hard point placement and hard point capacity. Either that or implement some convoluted battle value system (yeah good luck with that).
I enjoyed the event by the way, 10 million for free and a bunch more from the matches and thousands of loyalty points, its all good. And the matches were mostly good natured too, we were in for a hiding and hardly anybody rubbed it in all event long so the sportsmanship was there.

I was playing up to the last minute as an IS player and I saw that the IS Invasion scale started moving back up in the last couple of hours and the scouting scale moved down. My guess is that a lot of IS players were doing scouting to ensure the 150 score for their 12 games and then switched to Invasion once they had reached the 12 games completed.
This then put a larger number of more experienced player into the IS side towards the end of the event (I'm meaning players that have limited time during the day to spend in game rather than the full time players) while the Clan side got more complacent due to the 98%+ that the Invasion scale had been for a large portion of the event and didn't keep playing until the last minute (my only 150+ Invasion 'Win' games were in the last 2 hours and previous to that most of the IS Invasion matches were significant losses, i.e. clan tech walkovers, hence my concentrating on Scouting to get the 150+ scores before spending time on Invasion).

Because by preventing a second Clan attack, that gives the victory to the Inner Sphere, but Inner Sphere was not properly rewarded.
Pyrrhic Victory is still victory, so give the IS their Mauler, and then admit to the player base that the victory conditions were grossly stacked against the Clans. The stance you've currently adopted, PGI, is irresponsible. You can't have this both ways and still keep the player base happy to play your game.

IS winning their last stand, crushing clans, keeping their capital --> no win
what the eff..?
tbh, I don't care for the mech, keep it. but declaring both teams losers is kinda bad.
and it's also bad for you; SO much goodwill to be had, with just a little gesture, but no...
-does anybody know some kind of sport or hobby where a tie (however you get to -that- in the first place) is considered a both-sides-lose?
if you want to offend your customers.. the last few days you're doing a great job at that.
energy"balance", anni-debuff, hopper-debuff and now that.. *sigh*

You messed up the start of the event and gave no response to the players for hours.
You don't apologize for that and now all players lose despite the fact that the meter showed 100% clan all the time every time i looked?
In case you forgot, events are supposed to be enjoyed by the players you made them for.
If I where you I would admit that errors where made while planning and executing the event and give the winning reward to everybody.

We lost don't make it anymore embarrassing for us.
Fix the damn balance so we can actually stand a chance in one of these events instead of everyone loses thanks for coming out.

I played a lot during the weekend (+40 invasion matches) and I saw a lot of new players trying faction warfare for the first time. I would like to congratulate these fine young Clan mechwarriors that, despite being sometimes a real PITA due to obvious lack of experience or communication, in many cases we have managed to rally and even score a few wins as the clear underdogs. I hope to see you from the other side next week.
And of course minus points for the event kick-off going bonkers.

There's a possibility of a tie? Who's brilliant idea was that PGI?
Keep your free mech then, you stingy bean counters. While you're at it, why don't you keep the 4 million cbills as well?
Since neither side "lost", nor did they "win", they don't deserve either reward right, right?
IS kept the clans from taking Luthien, so what kind of logic is this that they don't get the Mauler?
The Clans dominated the event and smashed the IS to pulp all throughout the event, hitting the 100% mark, so what kind of logic is it that they don't get the Mist Lynx?
I guess we're all losers for playing this game.
Issue an apology and give everyone on both sides the free mech, how hard is that?
