Actually, according to the site, it's 9.53 posts per day, which is nowhere close to living to post on forums.

if you got his way, we may as well just remove the entire light class from the game.
hell, we may as well remove all weight classes other than assaults. cos the biggest, baddest mechs shouldn't lose to anything smaller or it's "bad game design" and illogical.
so why would anyone pilot anything else?

1. Put weapons in your arms. (lasers/Hvy lasers in particular if piloting an omnimech so you can equip lower arm actuators)
2. Place your arm mounted weapons in their own group.
3. When light humps you, turn and center your arm reticule on center of mass
4. Fire all your arm weapons, if boating lasers, track your target through their burn.
If done correctly, the light mech harassing you should be twisted burning wreckage.

Lights should be utilizing hit/run tactics, not have the ability to face tank an assault. If MWO had implemented actual physical attacks such as punching and kicking, then things would become interesting...
Knockdowns never made sense for many technical reasons. It was a byproduct of a futuristic game based on 1980's tech as imagined by non-technical people.
Stuns however, as the mechs gyros try to compensate for the impact, would.
Physical attacks could be implemented as a module with cooldown. Have suggested this for years. Damage at 1 pt per 10 tons or 1 pt per 5 tons for mechs known for physical attacks such as a hatchetman.

When you need to group weapons due to concerns over one class that should tell you something.
And what about mechs that do not have arm weapons.
And most twist speeds cannot match light movement.
And then there is the hit reg problem with lights.
So nice ideas but maybe just make logical counters? Or maybe reward roles and not damage and then make lights vulnerable to assaults like the game this one is based on?
Maybe?

Obviously these forum post people are not the majority but sadly PGI will continue to listen to them while the game slides off a cliff.

If it were true Lights were overpowered, it would be fairly easy to demonstrate - Simply scrape data off of the leaderboard and compare the performances of all four weight groups. Wouldn't even need to stat shame people, since you're just collecting mass data on everyone.
It's been checked before, you know. Light performance is generally at the bottom of the barrel. But if the Piranha really has unbalanced the game, it shouldn't take you long to show it.

If people are terrified of leg-humping lights: then they have a choice to make: either do something to mitigate the problem or do nothing and accept all the risks.
Running to the forums is not a solution.

Based on the observation that online gaming is a largely "monkey see, monkey do" environment, the queue percentage for lights would be larger than every other class if they were indeed OP. However, that is not the case as of right now (i.e. 1522 GMT).

Then, instead of praying that there aren't any Piranhas on the enemy team, I pray that there are lots
Just hide near your assaults, wait for the fish to turn up, and go fishing

Oh my god you nailed it, this was a "problem" in Star Conflict, which is basicaly mwo with spaceships, if you were trying to hug orbit a frigate as a light interceptor, you had to be really ******* careful not to bump into it, as that was almost certain death.
