I love how 8 hardpoints is considered "limited". I wish some of my IS mechs were this "limited".

My post was missing the word 'ballistic'.

Highlanders and Orions have structure/armor quirks. Hunchies, Marauders and Jenners have zilch. One of the marauders released with a single quirk but they removed it. MadCats actually did get some offensive quirks.

Yes the marauder IIc-8 Had a missile cooldown quirk since it had 1 missle hard point. And they pointed out they wanted it to have the missle ability but the some how mind numbingly removed it. I liked that one the best. It was a "bonus" mech also.

Eh...it looks cool but 2 of the 3 standard pack is identical, less the 1 missile point no one is going to use anyway.
It would have been nice to included a ballistic variant in the standard pack.

All the variants, except the hero, are straight from the TRO's and source books, and while PGI has given up on trying to match timelines as far as when variants appeared (the -10 doesn't appear until the Dark Age era) they're at least still avoiding variants which use equipment not actually in the game such as clan RACs, XXL engines, and HAGs. The Hero is the only PGI invented variant.

If it wasn't for "the lore" older guys like me would not spend our money on this game and it would not exist for the younger "F* the lore" people.

I’m sure 1 or 2 mechs that are not lore would not stop you from acquiring this mech. The hero mech is not lore, for example

Nah, I just like making lists Posted Image

Tragic thing is I'd forgotten about most of those or perhaps they were in TRO's after I stopped collecting mostly as all the RP shops closed near me. Paying almost as much for a PDF now as for an old school physical product just turned me off buying them so I just buy when sales in bulk..... then rarely read them.

As long as my Assault-Mech will be ripped in seconds by an MG-Anti-Infantery-Mech I will NOT spend any money in this game!

Also, will we be seeing the IS Warhammer getting its arm hardpoints raised somewhat? The art for the Clan Warhammer looks like its arm hardpoints will be much more favorably located, and if we could get that translated over to the IS Warhammer as well, that'd be super great.

The WHM has arm hardpoints?

Really?

Beowulf / IIC - 45/45
Clint / IIC - 40/40
Commando / IIC - 25/25
Dervish / IIC - 55/55 (Apoc)
Griffin / IIC - 55/40
Guillotine / IIC - 70/70
Highlander / IIC - 90/90
Hunchback / IIC - 50/50
Jenner / IIC - 35/35
Locust / IIC - 20/25
Marauder / IIC - 75/85
Orion / IIC - 75/75
Ostscout / IIC - 35/35 (Proto)
Phoenix Hawk / IIC - 45/80
Rifleman / IIC - 60/65
Shadow Hawk / IIC - 55/45
Stinger / IIC - 20/20
Thunderbolt / IIC - 65/70
Urbanmech / IIC - 30/30
Warhammer / IIC - 70/80
Wolfhound / IIC - 35/35 (Unique)
Wolverine / IIC - 55/50
Wyvern / IIC - 45/45

If you ignore the Dervish, Ostscout & Wolfhound oddballs, it's an almost even split of 9/11 for change/no change. Most changes are heavier, all the 'mechs that became lighter are Mediums and the Phoenix Hawk has the most ridiculous change at +35 tons!

The Rifleman-IIC is actually an 85 tonner

Yeah, the only assault class Riflemen are the Rifleman II and Rifleman III. The IIC is indeed a 65 ton heavy.

I agree with much of the feedback:
  • Beautiful concept art
  • lack of variety
  • lack of ballistics
This mech could be an absolute slam dunk - with very few minor changes.

6 mg's at 50m will core out a standing atlas rear ct in 10 seconds or less with stock armor values (which is more rear ct armor than anyone tends to use in game). You can test this yourself in the testing grounds, the atlas in them is an AS7-D. A 12 mg piranha can do it in six seconds.

No it isn't. In all the TRO's (which are the official source) the Rifleman IIC is 65 tons. The Rifleman II (a field refit by the SLDF Royals in 2720) was 80 tons. The Rifleman III of which only a single example was produced was 90 tons.
