OK WHAT THE HECK IS GOING ON WITH TAG DAMAGE. I haven't got more than 6 in 4 matches. I tagged an atlas and 3 lrm assaults and my meduim lrmer hosed it down, it probably took over 500 damage itself.

Does Tag Damage mean, "Mech's damaged while you tag them" Because that's a lot more believable. Also, you could drop it down to 50 if so.

500 times tagging an enemy who gets damaged?....Uff...

OK I just tested this and figured it out. Each time a mech is damaged while I tag it, it counts as one instance of tag damage. If I break the tag lock and re-acquire lock, I get another instance on the same mech, but only one. by breaking and re-acquiring tag intentionally, I got 7 tag damage in the last match with this method.



In summary, I don't think the tag damage means what the event planner thinks it means, and 500 instances is way too high of a number for this challenge in relation to the other challenges. Please change the tag lock damage challenge to something more reasonable, like maybe 50 instance for completion.

Simplest way I can see the headshots happening is to jump into Solaris, once somebody manages to strip all my weapons I keep still to let them take the shot. (put me out of my misery after my shameful defeat). Could pair up with a buddy and synch drop solaris that way, not giving it away but helping when you have already lost.
I wish the AMS challenge was for 1000 instead of 500, I easily get that in a single game sometimes, and a bit longer grind might teach people the benefit of armour, then ecm (if avilable), then AMS on your assaults, then you take your big guns, building style.

I am stopping at 25 tag assists till PGI get back to work in the morning and tell us if they are going to make it tag locked damage like the text says and amount required implies or if they are going to change it to tag assists like we are getting recorded with a lower total required. Personally I think 50 is a little high and 25 a little low.

Guys I worked it out!

This is an attempt by PGi to give us a use for light tag, it makes this requirement a lot easier to achieve, Only took me 7 more games I was getting around 80 tag assists per game.

You have 2 ways to do it shown below, you have to be good at being sneaky sneaky with the Light and rely on teammates to do damage, but the other one can do it at 800 meters and easier because you dont have to rely on others hitting target.

Are we sure the Tag Damage is counted correctly, because last match I got 2 Tag Kills and the counter says the Tag Damage is at 2/500. I am sure those 2 kills needed more than just 2 points of damage ..

Not sure if this is the response PGI is looking for. Plus I would be very unhappy if a non damage mech was on my team. If it is what PGI had in mind then shame on them, a new low in event tom foolery.

Does tag damage count each weapon hit or is there a cooldown? So is it faster to farm it with a ton of ssrm2/lrm5s/atm3s and like 4 light tags?

gonna try the 13 tag direwolf. Because 500 means im in for atleast 100 more games of tomfoolery, and i hope its bugged and they fix it, if not the lazerlightshow direwolf will be everywhere tonight
