I'm a little confused. It says at the bottom of the charts "accurate as of xxx." Yet there were no changes to the weapon damages to reflect the patch notes listing that weapon damages were changed.

Are these numbers perfectly accurate? Or just rough estimates? And if they are accurate, then were the patch notes a lie?

Weapon damage was recalculated and updated on the Large Laser, Large Pulse Laser, SRMs, and LRMs in my 9/20 update. They should be 100% accurate, if I made a mistake or missed anything let me know. :P

Ok, so I just made another update. Added some new stuff as well. Details below:

- New chart page header background color (looks better in black in my opinion.)
- Added Heat Per Second and Efficient Heatsinks data to weapons
- Fixed Raven Information, including engines up to 300XL
- Created "Utility" field in Weapons Chart for AMS, NARC, and TAG

Also, I realize that on the Engine page I could have just merged the Jenner and Raven, but then I'd have formatting issues if I scooted over the others. I'll try to work something out on this in the next update.

There was a goofup in that part, thanks for pointing it out. Should be fixed now!

How much damage needs to be done to destroy a component (once the armor protecting it is gone, of course)?

Thank you thank you for putting this up.

Now, if MWO could incorporate this type of info into a tab at the top of the launcher like INFO, or MWO FAQ, and link it so as they change it in the game in patches the new info auto inserts into the games online help files for things like hardpoints and weapon costs. Another very simple thing would be a virtual mech bay...where you can create a mech and then play with configurations and save its layout for a future build, then we would have access to the actual info live in-game instead of having to buy a chasis and guess.

Just in case you're wondering Ohm, I, and many others, consider this "official documentation" for MWO. Were you to produce a PDF of the default key layout, you'd pretty much have everything in PDF format that could be called "necessary information for playing MWO".

Thanks hugely for your efforts.

I'm a little confused about the Effective Heat Sinks to Negate Heat stat. Is it meant to correlate directly to the HPS stat, or do heatsinks subtract from initial heat generated when firing weapons?

Just want to add my praise to this! Excellent resource and has already been invaluable in my planning :)

Feffle: I'm pretty sure what it means is thanks to weapon cool down timers, that is the number of HS required for heat to dissipate before the weapon is ready to fire again.

Thanks again for the great feedback guys, I read ALL of it and appreciate the very kind words that constantly come in through this thread. I even had someone ask if they could donate to me which isn't necessary. Checking out / subscribing to my Youtube channel would be a huge (and completely free) way to say thanks though. :)

As mentioned by Arcturious it's the number of heatsinks needed to purge the heat generated by the shot by the next reload. If you have less than that then there will be heat left over by the time the weapon is ready to fire again, which will stack with the next shot unless you give your mech more time to cool.

Great stuff! It's really bothering me that missiles are red and energy is green, though; it's the exact opposite of how it was in Mechwarrior 4. Unfortunately it renders the first chart unreadable for me. =/

Awesome job, I've been using http://mwomercs.com/...-weapon-values/, but this one here is much prettier. One thing I would like to see added though is a column for 'minimum range'. Really only needed for LRMs and PPCs, but I've noticed a lot of heresy out in the field as to what the numbers actually are, and I even hear tell that PPCs have a 'reduced damage' min. range (~50-100m) and a 'no damage' min. range (<50m). It would be swell to have actual solid data on this, rather than rely on the rumor-mill out in the field.

BUMP AND STICKY THIS!
