I could change the ballistics color if that's desired by more folks. First feedback I've heard like that though. Anyone else interested in a switch to blue?

I figured I'd share this since it's a really easy way to at a glance look at the hardpoint options for the Mechs in Mechwarrior: Online. I'd like to host the image itself on the forum, but I can't find a way to upload anything to the "My Media" section.

Please do not share these images with anyone outside of the beta.

Much like my hardpoints content, here's a quick reference sheet covering just the weapons in Mechwarrior Online. I know there's other data out there like the impulse rating (aka camera shake) on weapons, but I don't see it as all that relevant. I've included what I felt was most important for a quick look.

Missile damage assumes landing a full volley, which isn't typically realistic due to terrain, AMS, and of course general guidance issues. LB-X spreads damage over the areas hit by 10 mini-shells. Lasers need to retain focus on the target in order to apply full damage.

Range on anything but the missiles designates the effective range of the weapon, where full damage can be applied. The distance between range and max range designates where damage tapers over distance. For missiles SRMs apply full damage at 0-270, nothing further and LRMs apply full damage (if they are able to hit) up to their max range.

Very nice thanks

Though it does make me wonder why they don't have more detailed descriptions when outfitting mechs, like what the range, heat, dmg etc is of weapons as you are configuring, how much ammo you are putting in etc.

I'm sure a lot of the info you're looking for is coming, but we're still in a somewhat early phase of the beta. Technically founders weren't even supposed to have access yet. ;)

We'll all be lucky enough to witness MWO as it changes a lot over the coming months.

Excellent work! Thank you!

I've already downloaded the JPGs, but this should be sticky'd.

Ohm, like many others I'm sure, I downloaded your spreadsheet and made a few modifications. I added a column for DPS/Ton, and a Total Hardpoint column. I won't post it here because these are easy changes anyone can make. I wanted to thank you for all your hard work. I hope to take the foundation you laid and complete a Mechlab spreadsheet that allows you to build a mech in excel with values true to MWO. I want to include a total DPS for the mech, heat values, dmg at different ranges, etc. If I can complete it (work tends to interfere with my hobbies), I will post it here and be sure and give you the credit.

Thanks again, it's people like you that make this community great.

What is the source of the red "coming soon" variants? Has there been some sort of announcement that those are coming in the next patch or something?

They're in the client data files. The JR7-K was actually in one of the previous beta builds and was just removed.

LB10x has more range than the ER LL too? Anyone see problems with this?

Your list has 4 secs for PPC and ERPPC cooldown but I am fairly sure they are only 3 secs

Ohm, you're incredibly cool for doing this great chart-o-graphic of wisdomination!

But, I am afraid you are now forever cursed to keep updating it all ;)
