Umm yes, I do realize this is a silly game, what's your point?

I would get my head handed to me? By you? You wanna give it a try? Private lobby is always available

FP has a lot to offer to new players and returning veterans alike. I'm pretty sure neither elected you to speak for them. It's not my fault you're garbage and can't carry a FP drop, and don't have good teammates to group up with so you have a poor experience. That's no reason to shittalk FP. The gameplay in the mode is far superior to QP, although it could certainly be much more than what it is, it's still the best gameplay this game has to offer for team minded players.

Ah, opinions...... It's OK. I understand where you stand: on an island in the Indian Ocean where they eat un-invited visitors... That's what FP is: that little island with cannibals where entire countries warn people off !!! Or, you are what's for dinner.... Ah, that isn't success......

PM me for the PTS and I'll gladly "see what exceptional skill" may be ! I'm not sure how PTS works; and, It might be fun if we run non-meta mechs (since I doubt I own any....I only own one assault BTW....) But, I'm game ! Old dogs can always learn ! Random map selection, same mech weight, non-meta seems a good balance. I don't brawl but, it would be fun........! I did try Solaris and really didn't like it at all....... I one won one match for an event......

FP imploded. It would be a great mode if there were new maps and the mech's were reverted to an earlier stage of effectiveness like before the skill tree change.

We had good teams..... Really good groups of above average players that met in TS a couple of times a week. Conducted training sessions, Trials of Position for the drop team, and discussed balanced load outs for FP drops as we experienced new techniques in FP..... We were there ! And, we left en masse not once, but twice: one right before the skill tree and the larger team, about three months after the skill tree. Now, only about three or four of those players ever play MWO..... I stayed because my first team asked me to since I had the most interest in MW: since I've played MW since the first title came out so very long ago..... And, no one argues with the CSM....

I dunno what all that stuff about meta is. I don't play solaris, so I don't have any meta 1v1 mechs, so you won't see a cheeze anni or anything. But I build my mechs to not suck. I'll be using FP mechs which will have too much ammo.

So how about we make this interesting? Since you like to talk so much **** on the forums. We do a best of 3, you pick 2 weight classes and I pick 1. Loser never posts on the forums again. How about it?

No. That's pretty simple. I post on the forums because, like you, I love this game...... For different reasons maybe but, we both enjoys some parts of the game. Deal breaker that.... I wouldn't mind just dropping with you and yours just to see what you consider effective FP tactics. I can always learn..... Send me a TS/DC channel and a time and a date and I'll drop with your crew..... that seems the best way anyway because I will continue to post as long as there is a game. And, I admit up front that I am an average player in this game and would love to see FP excellence !

I speak with the conviction of my beliefs and the expectations of others whom I serve with.... If I sound salty, it's not because of any great game skills, but rather, a few decades of experiences with games and being extremely competitive in the real world..... Let me know and I'll be there to drop ! Heck, it might be fun cause I haven't played FP in well over a year !

Ah, that's where you went..... Last I saw you, you were rushing a cap and got obliterated and then, abruptly rage exited?

To be honest, we lost 6 players from our clan, The cruiser line split, the radar meta and the CV Update 8.0-1-2-3 et al., just about broke the back of many of our long time players. It is a mess to be honest.... Everyone wants an arcade FPS that is fast, simple, repetitive and easy..... Same in this game. I've played a few events recently and miss the 2017 pre-skill tree MWO. I really do. But, it's just the way it is.

Change your mind, drop in ! You are more than welcome and we'll walk you through the changes.......there are a bunch !

I love this game despite its shortcomings, but the whole META is always laser focusing to instapop enemies in a blob. "Coordinating" is just amassing a big 12 man alpha strike and focus on a poor sod. If anything, it needs more to it, but it's never gonna happen

There's a lot of defensive canon mechanics and weapons that haven't get into the game. No smokescreens, reflective/ablative armor, EMP grenades, mortars, mines, etc. With the exception of Conquest, all the game modes are about blobbing and fire focusing, with little side thinking or alternative viable winning conditions.

So FP will always stay the same, because if you're going to play "for real", in a serious manner, it's all there is to it.

My good sir, win condition for battletech has always been to eliminate the enemy at all cost. even lore peeps will agree on that

honor is a huge part of lore which is why some players get salty when they get gen rushed for 4 waves in a row. there is no honor in that tactic

That's because it's the most effective way to win.

I wouldn't hold your breath for all those extra gizmos. This gave is on lifesupport/maintenance mode right now.
