Indeed, Kodan. One could even say it now has water to rival the Grand Canyon of that planet known by the name of Earth as well.

Well, it's Terra in-universe... Posted Image

And it happens that I like the Canyon Network map changes, even if I don't have those TRON-like Mechs to wander around with in it! Posted Image

I've played not enough with original MechWarrior 2, and too much in TRON games, so I gonna tell that the camo is pretty much like you say Posted Image

Huh... I tried to do that, coming from 'J10' to 'I9', and could not make it in one jump attempt. Do you have some extra Skills applied, or did you use a different start spot to measure it? Posted Image

J9 to I9 with all the JJ skills and facing H8. I am doing it from the the base (low ground) not the mound in that area. Can just make it.

I can't because I already fixed the Anni's Narc problem months ago.

And yes, the DWF-C narc issue and the DWF-Prime ecm issue are both known, and a fix will be coming.
along with that hopefully you can let use edit those lines on the DWF and TMB special variants... with the tertiary color or at least let it change all the lines so that the green is overwritten with a chosen color, would allow for more customization and very interesting colors i think. same thing with the elementals tertiary color would be awesome.. No not the mech...

So IS LB 2-X and now LB 5-X ACs got slot reductions to make them more appealing.

Any hope for LB 20-Xs being dropped to less than 11 slots to make them less of a waste of space? At least 10 slots should be fine; several 'mechs arm-mount them in their default configs and that's currently impossible in MWO.

Here's the problem with all these buffs that come in every patch.. the people in charge of implementing them mainly use heavies and assaults or mechs that have what you call 'broken hit boxes.' They run mainly META. They aren't feeling what a 4lpl alpha feels like cuz they are in these mechs that can brush them off more easily then say a trebuchet, centurion or viper (when's the last time you saw one of these?). Instead of adding diversity to the game (which is what they claim the goal of all these buffs are), each buff pass is forcing us more and more to use only that handful of mechs that can withstand high alpha builds. IMO hey are LESSENING diversity in what mech you can take and promoting high alpha builds that can ruin a mech in one shot that isn't 'meta'. LPL boats have become a cancer in this game and this is what happens when the 1% take the wheel..

I agree. If I don't use the standard boring cheese mechs and load outs now I'm little more than a meat shield.

This game has truly become hard core.. you may as well call quick play 'comp mode.' I tried to warn everyone from the very first ridiculous patch that buffed the majority of weapons.. most players didn't see this coming like i did, but it's here now.. just like comp play where they snipe from a safe distance in a 'power position', now every match is plagued with night-gyr's, veagles and timbers galore spamming their CLPL's and whatever else they can pug-shield with from a safe distance.

I consider myself a decent player with years of experience.. now if I don't take a 'cheese' mech (which i DESPISE doing, but the compers live for that easy damage and high rating, gag) and make a small over-exposure mistake I am rekt instantly.

This game is supposed to be fun and relieve stress.. all these buffs are making it the quite the opposite.. for me anyway.. I can only imagine how newer players feel just getting into tier 2 or 1 when they are insta-gibbed in under 2 minutes. This can't be good for player retention. They know not what they do..

Still missing in that list:
Fixing the match maker. Either kick the groups out of the solo queue (they never should've been there) or have the system treat the groups like a group of individual mechs and players so it can work. Yes, that would lengthen the queue times for groups, but they could easily drop the group and enter the solo queue or create a 12 player group.
The stomps happening because one side is massively favoured (be it tonnage, skill or speed) are getting boring.

You guys are cute. "Wall hacks". "Not sharing armor". Classic signs of players unwilling to adapt from constant zerg rush nascar.

That's really weird, I have found much more diverse options viable now.

We're just saying these changes (ie buffs galore) are un-funning the game..

Unless you take something that can handle both range and brawl.. you're taking a big hit to viability.

The Ballistic Goggles from the Warden Pack don't seem to be giving the 5% C-Bill boost it's supposed to be. (For clarity, I have not yet attempted the Warden Event that gives 2 more of these.) I also tested the Enhanced Imaging warhorn just in case the C-Bill bonus was actually given to that by accident, but no bonus. Here's proof with the goggles in the picture:

Posted Image

The goggles do not state that they give the bonus (like the Solaris 7 Trophy does for Accolades in the description), but they do faintly have C-Bill icons on the lenses.

there was an error on the goggles text that said they only worked on IS mechs, seems they fixed that.

Did the math, and you got exactly 35% Bonus Cbills from the 'Mech-Bonus. That would be 30% from the (S)-Variant plus 5% from the googles.

I figure this is probably the best place to post about bugs for this current patch? Other places seem to only have old patches involved (it's a bit confusing, honestly). Anyways, I'm pasting this from a post I made in the Warden Selfie thread:

Quote

Bug:
I'd like to point out there is some weird stuff going on with decal rotation once you enter certain maps (even without saving the decal changes), or as you save decal changes on seemingly TBR and DWF chassis variants specifically. If the decals are on the top of the mech, they get rotated 90 degrees counterclockwise in maps like Emerald Taiga, Forest Colony etc., but 0 when on the usual sides of the mech (probably between 0 and 90 for slanted surfaces, if the "center pixel" of the decal is there I'd guess). When saving changes, it rotates them seemingly in response to a sudden mech rotation but doesn't rotate back with the mech when the mech readjusts through the save process. They display correctly if you switch mechs and back, but not when you go into such maps as listed. Sometimes 1 decal out of 9 will not be affected, or only 1 actually will be affected, so you'd have to look at each decal to be sure.

[I also posted this in a thread made by KursedVixen (under "PATCH NOTES 1.4.222.0 28 JAN 2020") about this bug.]

I've had the opposite observation: I used to be able to make trash builds work. Trash builds don't work, anymore, which means that "viability" has been reduced, overall. There may be a wider range of standout builds at the top, but the bottom has been significantly reduced.

IS PPC
  • Introduced exponential damage fall off curve instead of min-range (similar to Clan LRMs)
Being heavily sandwiched between the Light and Heavy PPCs, the performance of the standard PPCs since April has been monitored in the past couple months. As a first step towards giving it a unique characteristic and meaningful trade-offs versus light and heavy versions, minimum range has been removed and is replaced by an exponential damage fall off. This Will give PPC focused builds more versatility.

Well that is halfway to a correctly implemented PPC, since it should do full damage even a 0 range.
Well since they are supposed to be less accurate withing 90m, maybe make them splash at close range instead.

My spider can fly into orbit now Posted Image

That said while messing around with my new LAM Spider I found a minor problem with Crimson Straight. Being that if you jump to 600m's altitude near the tunnel/mountain the game considers you going out of bounds for flying too high.

Good patch btw.
