[Edit]

Just saw it in the patch notes. Something is wrong with the map and its a know issue. Have overlooked that part when I just flew over the notes.

Light PPC... to bad I just wanted to buld myself a BJ-5. Will most likely still do it anyway ^_^

Speaking of Tourmaline ... I haven't played in a while.
1) Where are all the details gone to? I miss the ship, I miss lots of hills. Its all so flat.
2) The skybox has an error for me where you can clearly see two parts of it meeting, because one side of the sky is darker then the other.
3) The distance looks very undetailed and flat and very, very low poly. I haven't seen anything like that on any other map I think. Will go to the other testing grounds in a bit but damn this looks bad.

A big thank you for lifting the fog on Caustic. For those of us with less than perfect eyesight, all that fog literally caused a headache. There's plenty of pillars and ruts to give the map cover and keep it interesting. There was nothing worse than someone using 3rd party software to "optimise" the graphics by removing the fog for their local client - nothing particularly against the rules, look back and you'll find which application was being used on the forums, but this levelling of the vanilla MWO graphics is welcome.

Finding the new map interesting, be nice if they had "mech-rails" as I keep falling off the upper levels while enjoying having a look round - decent shift in areas to fight in; nice one :)

I think the two most requested Clan 'mechs are the Stone Rhino (by a large margin) *snip*.

I can only hope...

Was fog removed on Caustic? I don't see the difference. If yes, then I take back my words, François did a good job.

But Tourmaline!!!

There is a bug on this map, if you are on top and stand on the ramp to the middle, you can zoom through the ramps and see where the enemies are on the other side of the ramps

And the ground looks like some had extensive diarrhea

Confirmed by Daeron during an NGNG stream this afternoon. Apparently the Stone Rhino even outstripped the Fire Moth by number of requests, which surprised me. I thought the Fire Moth was the most requested, but technically impossible, and the Stone Rhino was the most requested but also feasible.

Dude, the bugged version of Tourmaline Desert (I guess it's just Desert now) is really, really fun. This game is unironically great with a big, open plains style map. I sincerely think they should consider giving us a big map that's raw terrain with some buildings here and there, no real lanes or anything like Tourmaline Desert here!

It's super fun!

Even feels a little bit like I'm playing an actual tabletop game with big open fields too! ^^;

I'll at least enjoy the bug while it lasts ;P

A bug on new map. Three times when dropping on the map, everything turned pink in color. The only way that I could see was to use heat vision.

No one else on my team said they were neon, but I was definitely seeing the brightness of Vitric Station as well: https://i.imgur.com/gLSFaqr.jpg

It's almost like a texture map was missing or something.

Since this is NOT in the patch notes:

Who exactly asked for and who exactly reviewed and okayed this seizure-inducing new minimap palette for Viridian Bog?

And i mean literally seizure-inducing in a medical way.

Edit: Fixed for me personally by putting a screen overlay over the minimap. Which makes the map unplayable of course.

Well, having dropped a dozen times on the new map, it has moved to the head of my most hated. Line of sight and actual weapon fire is screwed up, so many invisible walls or more accurately floors/ceilings, that its making it a joke to even try and do anything.

Map had huge potential, looks good, feels good, but failed on geometry unless you are on the same plane.

So it appears the new snub ppc "Reduced minimum heat penalty limit to 3 (from 4)" has canceled out the Highlander 733P's snub ppc HSL+1 quirk.

Also the Annihilator 1E has the same problem.
