Ever heard of the mystical thing called armlock??? It shuts your lower arm actuators of and you can still use them if you want.

Yes... it also messes with camera control and introduces negative mouse acceleration.
LAA on this mech not working is a god send.

Are all of you guys saying “use armlock” new to the game? To me it’s pretty obvious what Navid is referring to. Aiming without armlock is much smoother, and more precise. Armlock makes it sharp and clunky, but also somehow requires MORE hand movement to twist your torso. I wish there was a way to lock your arms and retain that smoothness.

Almost like the problem is not with Lower Arm Actuators, but instead with Arm Lock.

Enjoy it while it lasts then, they are not keeping it like that.

Y'all salty that Moonwalker got fixed. The goofy camera movement on horizontal arm motion is horrible. One of the reasons I play with arms locked unless I need pitch. The problem is though that you shouldn't have to suffer that. The reticle and player viewpoint should be synchronized.

Good. And good thing this didn't wait until next patch; P2W cannot be gone fast enough.

you buy a machine. And the hardware inside is too much for him?

so what is stock hardware can someone share?

What is the default hardware for this machine?

This frankly is an absolutely terrible take. If you don't want LAA on the Madcat, then play the deathstrike.

Deathstrike doesn't exactly have 2 ballistic in the arms now does it? Your take is even more terrible if I had to say.

Hmmm, I see from MechDB that its original stock loadout was min/maxed, so the hotfix breaks it. I wonder: will they be adjusting the stock load to work with the new config?

As far as "fixing" the Meta, how long will it really take for folks to simply switch two of the LBX's for UACs, and continue blasting, business-as-usual?

Wait so the STOCK loadout... the loadout the Cauldron designed right? That is broken by the LAA that were supposed to be there, but weren't, and now are.

Am I reading this correctly? Because if I am it kind of implies that the Cauldron designed it without LAA. Which means it being supposed to have LAA is sort of weird.

The hell is going on?

[redacted] it's classic bait and switch tactics. extremely predatory. they could have suspended sales of the mech if they "knew" it was a problem and reopened sales after the fix, but no. it was a huge selling point. it's what encouraged people to buy it in the first place. they take the money.. make the switch.. no takebacks.. and people seem to be happy with this? same people talking smack will cry when a feature they love gets removed.

Except for the fact that they stated from the day the mech released that it was supposed to have LAA and that a hotfix was incoming. Like stated before, if people are upset because they didn't leave two open slots in their favorite build, that's not on PGI.

That build has the lower arm actuators, you can still use it.

As bad as saying we should keep lower arm actuators in the mech that do nothing? Please.

For those of you thinking you can't use the stock build, yes you can. You may have noticed on launch that the mech came with two open slots, the slots that were supposed to be the lower arm actuators.

They are, yes, because they were patched in recently. Unless there was some mixup with the crit allocation when they added the LAA, that's possible.

Has anyone tried stripping and rebuilding the stock loadout? I know armor quirk changes have horsed up builds and required strip/rearmor, this might be a similar problem.

One sec just did

Notice Mech DB still doesn't have the actuators on the mech, instead you will see two open slots,

Guys, check my screen shot. Page 2. That's the MechDB stock loadout. The engine is a 300, instead of a 305, and the build has one more heat sink next to the PPC. The build was designed without lower arm actuators.

It is doing something, it's called preventing people from running funny 5xAC10 build. Unless you enjoy OP mech builds, be my guest to defend removing LAA.
