My build is a facetime build. It is not suited for 1 v1.
Considering you decided to not have a mirror match, you were free to choose any build. You have "played all of the BLK builds" after all.
So, you picked your poison.

I would still like a buff to the black knight, but perhaps i was too entrenched in my preconceptions and wanting a better platform for my facetime loadout.
Yes, different mech geometry profiles allow different mechs to do different things. Welcome to MWO basics.

Hey I said im about as good as it gets.
No, you said precisely the following:
Quote
You want to call my skill in question. Im as good as it gets in a black.
...
I have never seen a black knight pilot more skilled than I, although, I wish to meet them in battle should they prove to exist.
Trying to weasel in "
about as good" after the initial statement is a fairly weak goalpost moving attempt, just to seem less egotistic in your misguided "i'm the main player of Black Knights in this game" shtick you're building your whole MWO persona around.
Try to think a bit longer on your phrasing before posting. Some brevity helps with building stronger arguments too.

Meaning im pretty good in a gimped loadout in qp.
Sorry, you are not "pretty good" at anything, being T2 and whatnot. Considering this whole thread's discussion, you still have a lot to learn.

Better in the polished tier 1 style builds.
"Tier 1 style" build is not a thing.
There are good builds, bad builds and gimmick builds. That's it.
Plenty of people confuse gimmick builds with just bad ones though, as they are bad at mechbuilding in general.
Quote
But im not the best...YET.
...
But clearly I need to reassess my playstyle andloadout in order to outclass you and other tier 1s.
Now that's the spirit. Let's hope it's more than just words.
Somewhere along the way, you will also have to realise not all T1s are the same.

I am relaxed? Listening to some new gaming OSTs as i'm finishing up some work. Weird attempt at emotional strawman, don't do that.
After all, it's not me replying to almost every single post in this thread, arguing beyond what i'd call reasonable.
Posting inflammatory paragraphs and then going back to redact them out doesn't help your case either.

The black knight needs to be the roy benevedez of mechs. It needs to be tough enough to be there outnumbered and turning the tide of battle. Too bad.
This is what the game needs, matches that you can come back from when your down by 5. Thats epic, thats fun.
Ok, DATA junior.

And people who pilot said mech are treated poorly too.
Shadowcat players left the chat.
Please, don't slide into victimhood baiting just because people disagree with you.
Sincerely, the occasional Black Knight player.

So, the whole idea of testing whether a loadout is bad, or whether a mech needs buffed by doing a 1v1 in a higher tier than you is bullshyte.
The main point of Bassault challenging you, was to check your claims of being a good BLK player. So that people could have a correlation between your ideas here and your actual in-game performance.
A point you seem to have missed.

I have tried liking this game. and Ive come to realize, that in qp, youre just screwed. No amount of skill can make up for your team being *redacted*.
No amount of personal skill gives you a
guaranteed win, welcome to team-based PvP games.
What it can do though, is affect your average experience. After all, if you think all/most of your matches are filled with bad teammates and it's the main reason for your losses... well... there might be another constant to consider.
Quote
Doesnt matter. If your team is bad, you lose.
Can we not regress to 100% logically false statements?
What if both teams are bad? = )

I can get 900-1200 dmg in a match and lose. How much harder could I possibly carry. Maybe if I played perfectly 1500 dmg.
Doesn't matter "how hard" you "have" to carry, damage number is just a subsidiary number to how much you affected the match outcome. Provided you played normally and didn't just farm AFKers or shot arms/legs for padding. Getting kills is always more preferrable to farming damage, if you want to win. So the idea of "but i did 1k dmg this match, i deserve a win" is a foolish one. There can be plenty of factors to your loss, including your own mistakes despite the high damage.
Think the highest dmg loss i had was 1650.
Saw somebody have a 1800+ loss iirc.

Im not upset. I am hoping to goad you into more 1v1s
Lying about someone you want to duel is a sure way to make people not care about anything you have to say.

Practice more?
After 4 years practice more?
Yes? You mentioned in this very thread you don't know Solaris maps, that tells you have no/barely any duelling experience.
Personally, i can tell after having no duelling sessions for about a year and playing QP only... is brainmushing.

4000 people came to see my thread. So clearly the black knight must rise again!!!!
You dont want to buff it? FINE. You dont want to quirk it? FINE. You guys at pgi get paid alot of money seemingly to come out here, turn my mechs head purple, not buff it or add quirks...
Sheesh, you sure have a bad memory. Or just ignorant/bad faith arguer?
Black Knight was buffed at least 2 times directly, since the Cauldron took over.
And they are not being paid for balancing quirks.
Continue being dramatic in your wrongness, that sure will make people listen to your plights.
