"Updated the previously existing ammo per ton values to match base ammo bin counts"...
...
Is this something that we will be able to see soon in all the ammo quirks too?..

Seems more a side grade to me. Going from -60% to -50% cooldown but gain +20% velocity. The decrease in rof won't be noticeable especially on the uac2 fits but the velocity certainly will be.

Try the AC/20 + mugshot build and lets talk again after. 10% DO matter!

That's why it's getting nerfed

By "interesting," did you mean, "holy crap, that's a lot of cooldown?" Because that's what I thought when I read that =D (There's reasons you don't see it a lot, but man, that's a huge rate of fire - particularly for a stat with increasing returns.)

What the hell is going in in Cauldron world? Does this look like progressively iterative and finer number balancing over time? The HAG heat is right back to where it was last year where more or less everyone agreed it was to good for the damage it dealt.

Are May's values some how more correct than months past?

What is the explanation for the buffs?

(A) Human error

( B ) Cauldron need unbalanced toys for Tournamanent of Stars

(C) SB + PPC somehow competes with HAGs?

MAY Clan Hyper Assault Gauss Rifle 30
Reduced heat to 9.0 (from 11.5)

FEB HYPER ASSAULT GAUSS RIFLE 30:
Reduced Heat to 11.5 (from 13)

NOV HYPER ASSAULT GAUSS RIFLE 30:
Increased Heat to 13 (from 10)

OCT CLAN HYPER ASSAULT GAUSS RIFLE 30
Increased Heat to 10 (from 9)

That's a difference of dropping the DPS on that AC/20 + Magshot build from an insane 30.70 down to a still-great 23.10 DPS - an actual dps loss of 24.8%. That 10% quirk reduction is much more significant than is intuitive, because the way it's programmed into the game yields increasing returns (i.e. it's not "faster cooldown," it's "cooldown reduction.") The only 'mech I can think of in the heavy weight class that runs those kind of numbers is the Crael, and that's at the cost of using spread weapons with much more limited range.

Even an AC/2 build will drop from 18.26 DPS all the way down to 13.79. That's still a loss of 24.5% of your original DPS, though you can add an LPPC to help defray the loss at middle ranges. This is an overall nerf, but the numbers for long-range guns weren't so egregious - so it looks like they added the velocity nerf to help mitigate the long-range DPS loss.

PS: I calculated the /2-caliber autocannon using standard ACs because jam length doesn't reduce with weapon cooldown, so the comparisons will be off - I'm not even sure you'd get an overall dps increase with UACs, but of course you use UACs for the burst.

since then, clan DHS have been nerfed and HAGs have had a significant portion of their damage converted to splash. they can certainly still farm damage, but they're rather inefficient when it comes to actually killing things.

From what I understood about the HAGs if anything they needed more spread or PEOPLE NEED TO LEARN TO TWIST
and i'm also totally against the clan heat sink nerf, It was stated on the cauldron discord to stop clan laservomit, well now IS has laservomit too so why? Also i still see clan laservomit... even more so beam laser vomit. and now PGi is adding heat disspation to every mech as if to compensate for that heat sink nerf, I dunno if it does or not.

what burst? uac2's have no burst IS uac5 has no burst. the only uacs that have burst are the clan UAC 5 10's and 20's

or do you mean the doubletap?

On that note I think clan uac 5 should fire one bullet like the IS one.

While I appreciate any attempt to try to make the Bludgeon actually playable, the only thing that will make the mech worth while is more hard points. It will be able to jump now, good but it's still out gunned by a good number of lighter mechs. Just give it one more energy point in both arms on one more missile hard point, it will still be far from other assaults but at least equal to some heavies.

meanwhile a majority of the gargoyles are useless, only the D prime and kinwolf are good all the others you have to swap omnipods to get anything out of them.

The Gargoyle isn't the only underpowered chassis in the game - but whether an Omnimech has to swap out pods isn't really an indicator that the chassis is overall bad. I mean, swapping out pods is the Omnimech thing.

Yeah, the burst of fire, not the actual multi-round weapon characteristic. UACs of all calibers jam fairly quickly, so sustained DPS is harder to calculate for them. (But by no means should the Clan UAC/5 be two tons lighter, one slot smaller, slightly superior in range and have the same firing characteristics as the Inner Sphere's heavier, bulkier equivalent.)

HAGs had a bit too much damage for their heat originally. Now that they've had time to collect game telemetry from the splash-damage nerf, it shouldn't be surprising that HAGs' heat efficiency has been restored.

Why are you inner sphere pilots too much of a coward to fight the REAL Clans?

I'm sure your answer is,because it's heavier, well that argument is BS.

That's like saying Univac is better than modern computers because it's heavier and bigger.

Or that Clan Racs should have more damage because they are bigger than IS ones.

The "real Clans" are Mary Sue space Mongols with overpowered technology. That won't be fun here: it's fun to play the Ogre, and it's fun to play the conventional army of little vehicles and infantry trying to take down the Ogre. It is not fun to play one of the little guys trying to take down the Ogre.

MWO is not a LARP of the Mechwarrior RPG campaign you never got to play, and it shouldn't be. Constantly complaining that you don't get your newbie hammer isn't constructive.
