Why? Because it's another thread pointing out the negative effects your kind has on gaming communities other than your own little forum dumpholes? You're here to grief and the nice splashing of arrogant teasing banners from you lot is already proving a point.

Not taking a videogame with giant robots shooting each other serious isn't griefing to me.

As long as there are customized "rooms" where people can join, players could always use some of the metasystems out there to add persistency(?) to the game. The "other" mechgame out there doesn't support any consistency on the server level due to being a mod for a skirmish type FPS, but there is a webbased league system where planets can be fought over and captured and resources managed. While being a bit inconvenient, i found this system of having the indepth experience externalized to have one big advantage: it keeps the call of doody crowd out and due to having only dedicated players, the amount of cheating/glitching/griefing is near zero.
But that would need to have a group of players dedicated to such a system.
I couldn't agree more with what you've just said here, There was a TKZ league in the MW2 days that used to run a system similar to this where the Clans invasion to the IS had begun, the systems web based map would be updated after all the fights had been completed for the week.
The difference though, those days people were into BT, into the BT lore [like many here still are] and those that took part init played the game in that fashion, basically each team followed TKZ rules of play and RP'd it out to make it an even more interesting thing to read and write about. There were epic fights, memorable fights.
These lot aren't interested in that, their game play like in Eve's is "Do what ever it takes to win". If that means burning the house down to get the game to what "they" want it to be, that is what they will be doing. You have only got to listen to that podcast to hear Mitani's comments, those who love BT, who like the "lore" and methods of BT are in for a rude awakening. It's clear the Goon's hate this community, they are looking for nothing more to do than grief it, dominate it, destroy it and add this one as another feather in their cap.
They do "anything" it takes to win, if that costs your game play here in this BT MMO that is what is going to happen if the devs give their kind a method to abuse.

The one and only reason that goons are here in MWO is because a lot of goons really love Battletech. Look at this Battletech play-by-post campaign on the goon forums that has been going on for a year and a half without interruptions: http://forums.someth...&pagenumber=741 That thread has been running since before MWO was even announced.
Yes, goons will make fun of you, and try to get you mad about internet robots (SQUAWK). The reason for this is that a big portion of the pre-existing Battletech community is quite simply made up of insufferable grognards that are too socially maladjusted, insular, and downright wrong in the head NOT to make fun of.
Finally, you are totally ignorant of EVE's history and gameplay. Goons are not nor have they ever been anything more than one of the most powerful alliances in EVE - They don't "run" EVE, and they haven't "ruined" EVE. They simply play EVE like everyone else, it just so happens that they are better at it than most.
In addition, it isn't even possible for goons to acquire the same degree of control over MWO, because the game is much more rigid and structured. You can't "ruin" MWO anymore than you could "ruin" counterstrike.
By the way, shouldn't you be banned with a name like that? I'm not sure about others here, but I find it's sexual overtone offensive. I see you lot are staying true to your subtle offensive methods. Then again why shouldn't you? You've all had lots of practice over in the Eve community.

10 years of playing Eve from forum days [like this place] to pre-alpha/beta to now says I have no issues with extreme player interaction, more so when you run an alliance for 4 of those years. What I dislike is games like this dragged into a cesspool by people who will do anything to win a game.

This is the police, Step away from your keyboard slowly and place your hands in the air! You are under arrest for multiple charges of grammar and spelling atrocities! Do not resist or the goons will swarm! Oh wait... You aren't intimidated.

I find your posting highly offensive and frankly it seems like you are flat out trying to pick a fight. So if you are trying to get people banned you need to look in a mirror here because you are breaking forum rules sir.

I refuse to lower my expectations. Frankly, I'm expecting 10 foot tall goons to run around the battlefield savaging mechs with their goon-claws.
