Always loved the Orion IIC. Lots of ways to configure a hard hitting heavy with decent speed.. 2 x ER LL, + CLBX20 with 2 x CHML and extra heatsinks, armour and ammo.

Need to go home now and play around on MW4, Mercs. Stupid job getting in the way...

This.

(Plus it has Jump Jets and enough HS to fire all large lasers at once without overheating)

Firemoth for light tonnage scouting work...
Ursus 3 for cruising in a medium battlemech...

Kodiak KDK-V1....
Ton for ton is the best mech to scared the pants of your enemy... in my humblest of opinion ;)

I remade that in MW4 and it freaking is a very wicked mech.

Toss up of Blood Asp, Night Gyr, or Dire Wolf.

Bane 3 FTW! Any mech that can bring the rain like that one is insta-win.

I'd say Stromcrow or Timberwolf.

Direwolfs are certainly monsters, but anything that doesn't do at least a 4/6 in my book is a slow moving target.

Urbanmech IIC of course, why is that even discussed?

*slowly backs out of thread*

On a more serious note, I support the Stormcrow as the best clan mech ton for ton.

Solitaires, they pack a heavy large lasers, a heavy small and two heavy mediums into 25 tons, as well as being one of the fastest mechs out there.

Direwolf C, it's the ultimate WoB killer. I pitty the Archangel pilot that tries to take on that machine, not even MD implants will help you here.

Mechs? Who cares about mechs!

I am a Jaguar.

Warhawk might be greater than a Wasp, and a Wasp greater than Infantry, but Orbital Weapons make all mechs and men equal.

Yep, that worked out great for you guys during the Great Refusal, didn't it?

Since I'm not actually really a clan member in BT, I'm OK with it. I didn't get annihilated and neither did my firends :D

Dire Wolf, hands down.

The Dire Wolf has been my Mech of Choice since I first played Mechwarrior 2: 31st Century Combat back in 1999, and has yet to fail me as far as the 'Brute Force' tactic goes.

Lights: just two most annoing SoB's in Clan arsenal - Kit Fox and Adder.
Medium: StormCrow and Nova - no comments here.
Heavy: NovaCat, Summoner (Aiden Pryde config ROCKS) and ofcouse the Most Iconic Mech Of All - Timber Wolf, one and only.
Assault: SuperNova - and noone can convince me in otherwise!

Hmmm... i think you can easily tell my weapon of choice from mechs above :D

madcat variant D. its fast for its size, its also nimble on turn rate and torso twist.

its armed with 2 arm mounted clan er ppc's, a double hit from these can head shot anything on the field, to the torso its devastating to armor.
its also armed with 4x streak 6 missile pods on its shoulders, at 350m and closer these will tear even an atlas to pieces in seconds, not too mention theres no reason to not keep fireing the ppcs into his belly.

ton for ton the mad D is the most beastly manueverable death bringer on the field.

and orbital weapons are only a threat to a mech if some ***** didnt shoot them down before landing his forces!

Kodiak and Behemoth come to mind here. Legendary beasts that put the fear of Kerensky into the most hardened Clanners. Who doesn't like 100 tons of gunslinging terror, sailing through the air to crash the hopes and dreams of ascending stars

Adder because it is so light and has 2 cERPPC. Also, how many people can really get over the fact that the Nova has no torso twist?

I'd have to go with the Hellstar.
4 ERPPCs in a 95T 'mech that runs cool after alpha striking? Hell yes!
It may not be the most overwhelmingly ARMED 'mech out there, but it's fast and capable. The Dire wolf is a very potent chassis, yes, but most of its variants overheat really easily.

alpha striks r for rookie's who cant properly pilot a mech an panic under heavy fire
